Oracoat Xylimelts Oral adhering Discs, Mild Mint, 40 Count, Pack of 2

Flavor is light and hardly noticeable.These discs were recommended by my dentist -- he didn't want my mouth to continue drying out from using my new CPAP every night.The discs apply most easily if I place them between my teeth and gums, then close my mouth and apply light pressure over that area of my cheeks for just a few seconds. (I use one disc on each side of my mouth, either on upper or lower teeth)When I've happened to wake during the night after 4 hours of sleep, I notice that the discs have completely dissolved. Depending on whether my mouth is dry, I might apply two more discs before continuing my sleep.

I had nose surgery in my late teens and the result is that the inside of my nose is pretty closed up. Been struggling for at least 2 years not being able to breathe through my nose at night and ending up with terrible dry mouth while I sleep. It wakes me up multiple times a night to either have to drink water or spray in special mouth moisturizer. Honestly it’s been so bad that I’ve scheduled nose reconstruction surgery because I cannot sleep properly and it’s miserable. I randomly came on Amazon hoping there might be a better spray than what I have. These tablets have changed my life in 5 days. I stick one of these things to my gum after I brush my teeth before bed and I sleep through the night with no moisture issues. I honestly can’t believe it. It’s WONDERFUL. I am so grateful. I only wish I knew about these 2 years ago. By the time I wake up the tablet has melted away. I generally sleep about 8 hours a night and one tablet gets me through. If you suffer from dry mouth during the night, these could give you back your sleep. If I needed this during the day, I’m not sure I’d like them as much as there’s quite a big bump inside your mouth when you first stick the tablet in. Looks odd, but since I’m sleeping who cares!!! Absolutely, shockingly fantastic.

I got these on the advice of my DDS and they do help with my dry mouth. I use one each night, placing it on the upper gum above my molars. It tends to slip a little overnight-not much, but it does move from the original placing. Flavor is fine and they do help-I don’t feel like I have to guzzle water when I get up.

These have been a lifesaver for me sleeping at night. I have recently gotten terrible dry mouth at night and it was waking me up constantly. These get me through most of the night (probably about 5-6 hours) without waking up and I'm so grateful. I've also never choked on one, which was a concern when I bought them--they really do stay put. For anyone who wears a mouth guard at night, you can use these with one (or at least the one I have). The tablet still fits against my gums above the night guard and functions there. Probably doesn't function quite as well as without a night guard, but it doesn't rule these out. The mild mint flavor is truly mild and just ever so slightly sweet, but they don't have much taste to me, which I appreciate.

I've had dry mouth issues for years. Earlier this year, I developed what has been diagnosed as "burning mouth syndrome" possibly due to long-term and untreated dry mouth issues. I tried everything. Then my dentist recommended this product and now I use it whenever I'm suffering. Unlike every other product, this ACTUALLY lasts for hours (unless you keep touching it with your tongue, then it will only last about an hour). For the price and the amount of time it lasts, and the positive effect it has after it's used up, I can't recommend anything more.NOTE: if you look at the price per tablet on this page, it says $0.45 per count. That's incorrect because this is a 2-pack but the site seems to not understand it so it counts it as 1 pack. It's actually $0.22 per, the cheapest anywhere for the same package.

It does work as advertised. A serious hazard is it is too successful; it may mask dehydration, and in doing so it may become an accomplice in what can put you in the emergency ward of a hospital with critical dehydration and a serious risk of life. Drink plenty of water before you come to this point, and you may find you don’t need it. If you do, reach for those 8X8 glasses of water (8 glasses 8 times a day, minimum.) I purchased it before I was stricken with dehydration and realized the danger I put myself in. If you have occasional dry mouth, it works well. But be aware of the reason for persistent dry mouth, and seek a medical solution, immediately from water and then your doctor. These handy tablets are not solutions to dry mouth. Treat them as temporary aids while addressing the cause of dry mouth.

Xerostomia, dry mouth, regardless of the causation is a very difficult condition to compensate for or treat. Mints, lozenges, cough drops, etc. were very damaging to my teeth. Most "gum" products included sugar and also were damaging to my teeth. Most of these products were not suited to use during the night. However, xylimelts have been very effective at stimulating saliva through the night. I insert 2, one on either side of my mouth, when I am ready to sleep. They usually last through the night, in spite of the extra stress of my CPAP appliance. I am very grateful for these.I have usually purchased these locally, but they have become much more expensive. So, I have recently purchased them through Amazon at about half the price.Also, although I dislike chewing gum, xylichew has been very efficacious at counteracting my dry mouth during the day. They offer several flavors and the size is "small" but sufficient.

I take these as I have dry mouth syndrome and this can keep you awake at night, these are brilliant at helping your mouth stay moist through the night, they are the only way I get a good night's sleep, you put them in your mouth on your gums, no choking worries, thank you Xylimelts.

Following radiotherapy I have a very dry mouth and at night this tends to wake me up as i need water but using these has enabled me to sleep for much longer. They are a pretty bland taste which i don’t mind; any residual in my mouth in the morning is quickly dissipated with a cup of tea!

It’s easy to get gel tabs, if like me you have a horrid mouth with no saliva.for whatever reason, you’ll get tabs that make your mouth wetter. They last ten minuites .But if you have an awful dry mouth all night , try something that is a bit more lasting. These attach to the roof of your mouth. Keeping it wet and more hygienic all night. They work. Last , they’re a god send. Truly !

If you suffer from a dry mouth then Xylimelts are a life changer. You won't have to worry again about being consumed by a lack of saliva if for some reason you can't get a drink.

I use these to protect my teeth when using my CPAP machine. They are not cheap but worth it. I wish they were available on the nhs
