Not comprehensive at all........very disappointed with this book.......
I'm very surprised that this book has 5 stars from anyone. It's not comprehensive at all. It contains very basic information. I own Steffen Arctanders book "Perfume and Flavor Materials of Natural Origin" it is comparable in price and indespencible to the natural perfumer. Don't waste your money on this book. It is outdated and meager. The information that is available is very incomplete. Not to mention there are at least a handful of enteries on every page that simply list the raw material and then states to go to another page. So if you were to remove all of these enteries, you'd be left with half the pages. Overall this book is not useful to me and I don't recommend it. I do however recommend Steffen Arctanders book, "Perfume and Flavor Materials of Natural Origin", which is fabulous and definitely what you're looking for if you want a comprehensive book on raw materials for natural perfumery.
