I've always liked the feeling of being hugged or 'safe' snuggled in bed. Perhaps it's a sensory thing from having dyspraxia...we're a little bit different from normal people! Having the feeling of weight, feeling secure makes me sleep so much better.I didn't know weighted blankets were a thing until recently and with the raving reviews I thought I'd buy a 9kg and see what the fuss was about.It's brilliant!!! I've never slept so well. Yes it's heavy, but once you're under it and settled in, you quickly get used to the weight, and it really is like a giant hug! I feel secure, safe, warm and at ease and I sleep like a log every night now.I find I'm also having far more vivid dreams too as a result.This is a well made blanket, heavy, but soft to the touch and came in a storage bag for travel or when not in use. I know that this will be packed in the car for future holidays for sure!Due to the sheer weight of the blanket, I would not be keen on freshening it up using our washing machine. To that end, I've bought a dedicated duvet cover to put it in and wash that instead. If I ever have to wash the blanket, it might be to a commercial laundrette, or a spot wash.At the time of writing, it was £55 for the 9kg, the one I bought. A total bargain compared to other blankets of the same weight.It's a well made, high quality product. Please don't hesitate to buy - if you have sleep or sensory problems, buy it!Best buy ever.

Spent months choosing which weighted blanket to buy and I am SO HAPPY I went with this one, which sat in the middle price range between the super cheap tat ones and the higher end Gravity Blankets.The blanket is a really good quality heavy cotton fabric so doesn't feel cheap. The edges are finished nicely and feel sturdy so it hangs beautifully over the edges of the bed. The pockets for the beads are small, about an inch square, so distribution of the weight stays even and doesn't bag up or pull the blanket around in an unsightly way.The edges have tiny loops sewn in if you decide to get their matching case, so you can ensure it stays in place and doesn't get all twisted up.I have the 9.5kg king size one and it fits really nicely over myself and my partner without us fighting over it. The weight is accurate to advertised and feels great to sit under/sleep under.As for whether or not it helps sleep, I love it, partner isn't sold on it being a miracle cure yet and he has really bad RLS. That said, he does like it and says it feels soothing.All in all, a really good purchase that I am really happy with.

I'm so happy with this. I bought this as a gift for my autistic brother in law. Its very soft and comforting. It really feels like its made of premium materials. My partner was worried that you would be able to feel the glass beads but you can't unless you really feel for them as they're so small. It almost feels like thin layers of sand. The quilted stitching keeps the weight distributed evenly by preventing the beads from gathering in one spot.It clearly holds heat well. Me and my partner walked 20 minutes to my mother in laws house to drop it off in freezing weather. When we got to her house and we got it out of the bag it comes with, you could still feel the heat of my house on the inside of the folded blanket.My partners family all had a look at it when we gave it to my brother in law, mostly interested in the weight. Afterwards everyone was talking about how they felt comforted by the blanket right away and didn't want to take it off. They all described it as feeling like a warm hug. My partner now wants one. We may indeed get one as its definitely worth the money.

Some of the reviews mentioned the blanket being too heavy, but I got the heaviest one and if anything i'd like it to be a little heavier. I usually sleep with it sort of scrunched up to properly distribute the weight across me.The material of the blanket itself isn't the softest, so I'd definitely recommend a cover for it, for comfort as well as ease of cleaning.Definitely one of the cheapest I've seen, and I do enjoy it very much. It's quite sturdy, and the design of it means the weighted glass beads don't move around too much. It's not noisy at all, and I feel it helps me to relax at night. I feel as though it helps prevent waking up during the night, or if I do wake up I no longer remember it and go right back to sleep. This is great for me as I have ongoing sleep issues, so I'm very happy about that.

I had been a little sceptical before my purchase whether the blanket would help me to the same level I’ve seen reviews. And YES it’s made a difference, 2 days after receiving the item I had shown it my sister who herself purchased one, smaller size as her partner does not like the weight.I’m going to be to the point, this for me and my sister worked, and I’ve recommended it since. Now I have mine in between two quilts , if I get too warm I through one off. The style of the blanket is nothing to write home about, but as mine is under a quilt is never seen, but in bed I know it’s there.Pro’s 1. A good nights sleep 2. The weight is just about right for me (I’m 15 stone) 3. I fall asleep quicker 4. The quality of the blanket.Cons 1. Price (made me think before buying, a lot for a blanket) 2. If my son gets into bed with me (he’s 3) I kick it off as too heavy for him.Not sure if I will be washing the blanket but it does have instructions. Apart from that, for some who really try before you buy (keep it)You will struggle to send this item back once you have used it a few days.I could not recommend more.

Diese Decke war meine Rettung. Seit ich sie habe, schlafe ich wie ein Baby. Kaum liege ich in meinem Bett, fühle ich mich geborgen, ich schlafe sehr schnell ein und, was das Wichtigste ist, ich schlafe tief und fest. Das Gewicht spürt man überhaupt nicht, da es sich auf dem ganzen Körper verteilt. Ich kann sie nur empfehlen.

Man muss sich erst an das Gewicht der Decke gewöhnen und auch das Beziehen der Decke ist ein kleiner Akt, aber ich schlafe einfach besser! Klare weiterempfehlung

Seit Jahren habe ich ein gestörtes Schlafverhalten.Begleitet von Depressionen, eins führt zum anderen - ein Teufelskreis.Auf meiner letzten Reha hat ein Mitpatient von seiner Therapiedecke erzählt und wie sehr sie ihm beim Schlafen hilft.Da ich alles versuche um wieder zu einem gesunden Schlaf zu kommen, wollte ich mir auch diese Chance nicht entgehen lassen. Und siehe da - bei mir hilft sie enorm. Ich schlafe viel schneller ein als zuvor - meist innerhalb der ersten halben Stunde (zuvor lag ich 3,4 Stunden oder gleich die ganze Nacht wach), ich schlafe fast durch, werde vielleicht einmal wach und kann gleich wieder weiterschlafen (vorher wurde ich fast stündlich bewusst wach - unbewusst werden wir ja alle ca. alle 90 Minuten wach)Ich bin vollauf begeistert. Nie mehr ohne!

meine Schlafstörungen habe ich in den letzten Jahren durch Allerlei versucht zu bekämpfen, meistens ohne längeren Erfolg. Seitdem ich diese Decke habe, schlafe ich wesentlich besser, das kann ich klar bestätigen! Es ist eine reine Wohltat, man fühlt sich richtig "wohl behütet" unter der Decke, man muss es natürlich mögen, da sie ja einige Kilos vorweist. Kleines Manko: sie hält nicht die Wärme wie gewünscht, daher muß ich mir noch eine Decke darüber legen (was zu anderen Jahreszeiten sicher nicht notwendig ist). Trotzdem empfehle ich sie bei Schlafstörungen absolut gerne weiter!

Preis-Leistung auf jeden Fall sehr gut. Diese Gewichtsdecke ist eine günstige Variante, steht teuren Modellen aber in nichts nach, ist meiner Meinung nach sogar noch besser, da die abgesteppten Rauten deutlich kleiner als bei anderen sind, die Glaskugeln haben kaum platz zu verrutschen und die Nähte halten bisher bombenfest.Verarbeitung und Material machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck, die Decke riecht nicht nach Plastik oder Chemie, sondern einfach wie eine neue Decke.Die Decke lässt sich selbstverständlich mit jeder gewöhnlichen Bettwäsche beziehen.Das Bett aufzuschütteln oder frisch zu beziehen ist durch das Gewicht ein kleiner Kraftakt, aber es ist ein unglaublich angenehmes Gefühl am ganzen Körper diesen leichten Druck zu spüren.Ich habe die 7kg Decke bestellt, wenn man diese komplett hochhebt kommt einem das sehr schwer vor, aber wenn man drunter liegt, verteilt sich das Gewicht und es fühlt sich wie gesagt sehr angenehm an.Ich denke, ich schlafe nun ruhiger und entspannter, bin nach dem Aufstehen nicht mehr so gerädert.Ich würde die Decke definitiv weiterempfehlen :)
