Doctor Sleep [4K UHD]

...whoever wrote the movie script for this feature did an excellent job! The opening is obviously tragic as it is dealing with a child. However, the youth factor is avoided as much as possible. The movie uses mostly good ole' fashioned movie magic, and if there is any CGI added, it was hard for me to find. Not a lot of jump out of your seat scenes, but you will be on needles and pins throughout the movie. All of the actors did a great job and I was mostly happy for Mr. King, who finally got a portrayal of his story fit for a King...pun intended. There is a bit of blood and gore, but no more than you'd expect from a Steven King horror flick. Give this a watch!!!

The acting was superb, the dialogue was very well written- no characters seemed too be similar or cheesy, which for me makes me more invested in the characters. That horror was done right- not overly gory and really plays on suggestions and your own imagination which is a thousand times scarier to me! I was very impressed with this movie, even if you never saw The Shining it could still stand as a great movie on its own.

The only problem I had with the movie, as a whole, was the girl's power - no explanation - just 'gifted'

Not having read the first book, I was not aware of that the movies do not follow the book at all, so they're kind of like two different stories altogether or like alternate universes from each other. Ever since I was a teenager I decided that it's best to watch movies first and then read the book because you'll never be disappointed with the book right? Well I got to say it wouldn't have mattered because they were both amazing in this case. I've watched this movie about seven times already and I'll probably watch it again- a few times, yeah.

I have read this book and had a hard time following it even though I had already read "the shining." My family loves the movie "the shining." My college aged daughter and I just watched this movie, the sequel, and we really liked it. I think I was confused with reading the book many years ago because at that time I had no knowledge of what remote viewing or astral traveling meant. These terms are not used in this movie, but they are definitely part of the plot. The characters use their consciousness to travel out of their bodies and use telepathy with each other. If you love that kind of story, first watch the original movie and then check this one out. It was really fun!

Ordered this because it has both cuts and supposedly had digital codes as well. Sadly, my copy didn’t include the code insert and WB support says they “expired”. A brand new product without digital codes is shady AF.

This is an excellent story. I think it’s one of the great ones that Stephen has written. I think everyone should read this. It’s interesting that has a complicated plot. That’s not complicated to understand. Once in a while, you get to get away from the love stories and etc. get into something that’s really makes you think and really makes an impact on you after you read it. If you’d have written this one.

If you are a fan of The Shining this makes a great companion piece sequel. Acting was awesome as well.

Soy fan de la película El Resplandor o The Shining, y cuando supe que Warner Brothers había lanzado la secuela "Doctor Sleep" en formato 4K Ultra HD, la compre de inmediato.Se ve espectacular, mejor que nunca, además llegó rápido y en perfectas condiciones. El único inconveniente es que no traía Slipcover y eso es muy importante para mí como coleccionista
