MASCARRY Portable Dock Replacement Case for Nintendo Switch (Only The case, You Have to DIY with The Circuit Board chip from The Original Dock) (Black)

I bought this dock with two expectations. 1. I wanted a portable way to bring my dock with me so I can play my switch on other TVs. 2. It was time for a change. I was tired of looking at the black dock.This dock meets both those exceptions. Installation is pretty easy and tools were provided. I wish there was a spot for the power on light. Instead I just stuck it in the back so the light was visible.A few things I wish this had was the ability to dock my Switch with the grip case on. I have an Insignia group which fits the original dock. But now, my Switch doesn't fit with the grip on. Actually, I also have a screen protector on as well and It looks like it would fit if the glass screen protector was taken off. The other thing is the installation video was not exactly clear. Luckily I'm electronically incline, but I can see folk struggle if they don't know what their doing. Also, the dock no longer utilizes the spring for the USB-C connection. It's not really a deal breaker, docking and undocking can feel a little rough with a solid mounted connector. Lastly, the case seams aren't perfect. Even though the case sandwiches just fine. The line around the middle seems to have a lip.This dock isn't perfect but gets the job done.

This Switch dock case replacement compacts everything about the original Switch dock into a compact case. It requires taking apart the Switch dock to swap over the electronic components, but this is a good thing because some third-party docks have been known to brick Switch consoles in the past. Installation is quick and simple and the end result is a tiny Switch dock that's easy to carry around and takes up much less space.

Great travel dock! Very easy to assemble. Purchased dock board and USB C ribbon cable separate so I could have 2 docks. Great product!

I wanted a way to carry around the dock without taking up too much room in my luggage if I were going on trips. This gadget is perfect for that and for playing games bedside if you don't want to hold the entire switch. It's really easy to take out the board from the original and put it in this new dock. I was able to do it in less than 20 minutes and didn't have any issues hooking the switch up. I highly recommend this!

This dock is a nice alternative compared to the big one that comes with the switch. It was easy to put together and I have had no problems with it so far

Good. But the Nyko thin dockable case does not fit in this. I had to remove the Nyko case to fit it, even though this case does not interfereWith the original Switch dock.

I love it so much better than the original and easy to travel .

This is perfect, just what I needed, the main purpose for my purchase was for its portability and it certainly fits that criteria. I was disappointed that the casing didn't have a place for the light, I can understand why, as the original wire is not long enough to reach the front, as its lockdown and I got the time on my hands, I decided to create a place for the light, I extended the wire and even swapped the original boring green light for a more vibrant blue, I drilled a hole in the front and used a hot glue gun to cover the hole as its transparent for the light to travel through, all in all very happy with the result and now I can build my Minecraft city anywhere I like on a big screen.

The product works as advertised, is compact ,beautiful and a solid built in general. I was worried that maybe the size would be a problem, since it's a third party product i was worried that maybe the PCB would not exactly fit but i was surprised in a good way!But.. With the device you will receive a small barcode that once scanned you get a you tube video with instructions of how to perform the transition. Be careful not to follow the instructions to the letter because a couple of screws that need do be removed are not present in the video and if you force it you risk to break the original dock for certain and maybe injure the PCB.It's not a huge deal not a dealbreaker for me but may be important for somebody else.Other than that the product works flawlessly and i had no problem whatsoever.A recommended buy for my part!PS: Since with the new docking system the switch is not in "sandwich" position during the hot days i mesured 1 or 2 degrees celcius temperature drop,compared to the original. :)

Half way through but stuck. The screwdrivers came with the product are too big and don't fit to the screw. Not sure to fall back and restore the old charging dock, or go for screwdriver shopping. Also noticed the plastic is flimsy, comparing to the old charging dock's which feels more steady and thicker.(Added few days later) Finally got hold of the special screwdriver needed for this job. All working after that it works.

Excellent replacement for Nintendo switch dock. Very easy to assemble, takes only few minutes. Prevent console from overheating in the dock and scratching the screen. Everyone should get this.

A nice little dock and very easy to assemble. Maybe not quite as sturdy as the original dock but great for portability.
