Royal P10 Electric Pencil Sharpener,Grey

The sharpener arrived really quickly and was well packaged. My daughter immediately went to town sharpening every pencil we own and within five minutes it had already became jammed by a broken pencil lead. We fought with it for a few minutes to try and get the lead broken up and it started working again. It has happened several more times since then. It gets the pencils to a great point, and is relatively quiet. I just don't like fighting with the broken lead. The sharpener inside looks pretty heavy duty so I would assume it would be able to handle a small piece of lead better. If it continues to happen I will be sending it back. If it didn't have that little inconsistency I would have given it five stars.

I use this at home for the kids so they can sharpen pencils when doing homework. This thing gets a lot of abuse in a family with 5 children who are grinding colored pencils and number 2 pencils everyday. So far, this pencil sharpener really holds up to the task. It sharpens quickly and without breaking the leads. The upright feature is the best part for us. My children really don't like the front loading sharpeners because most of the time they can't hold the pencils straight enough or with the right amount of force to keep from having chewed up ends and the leads broken off during sharpening. I found this pencil sharpener to be totally worth the money.

I have now had this pencil sharpener for almost 1.5 yrs! Unlike previous sharpeners that lasted only weeks, I have to be fairly pleased with this item. I have three boys and we sharpen quite a few pencils. My concern was that is specifically instructs you not to "push" the pencil in, and there is no way I can keep that from happening with three boys! But so far so good. My one frustration is that it warns against using it for colored pencils. I have occasionally used it anyhow in a moment of desperation, unable to find a little plastic sharpener, and have not had a problem yet, but in general I avoid using it for colored pencils. Unfortunately, the cord is rather short so you must be near an outlet.

My kids LOVE to sharpen pencils in electric sharpeners and we have been through quite a few of them. We have had this one for about 4 months and it is still going strong. I like that it plugs in. I like that the part that catches the shavings is upright and doesn't spill when you empty it. My kids have been pretty hard on it (even sharpening the eraser end of the pencils a couple of times) and it is still going strong.When I bought this I wanted one that was tough but not super expensive. This was a great choice.Probably not tough enough for use in an elementary school class room but for regular home use it has worked very well.

This pencil sharpener is very light-weight and seems very durable. Our teachers requested electric pencil sharpeners and this was the best deal on Amazon. The electric cord is a perfect length and it solidly sits on the desk. You don't need to hold on to it while sharpening (which is important to me!). My two young boys used it for weeks before school started and, in fact, dropped it twice but it never skipped a beat. It's being used now in a first and fourth grade classroom so it's getting used a lot. I will update in a month or so...after it's been used and abused by 6 and 9 year olds!I try to do plenty of research before buying products online and found this one to be one of the better choices. (....and I shop online for everything!) Enjoy!

I have owned this sharpener for a little over 6 years. Although that might sound like it was worth the money, truth is I didn't use it all that often. I would say, roughly 3 or 4 times a year. It worked as expected during those times. That being said, when I went to use it today it just would not work. No idea why. I messed with it and messed with it, but no luck. So ultimately I can't say I'm all that impressed.

Have not used it a whole lot yet, but so far it seems to work really well as long as you use just the right amount of pressure. My kids are still figuring out what 'gently' means.Update: Its been over 4 years of pretty consistent use with this little machine now, and I had to change my review from 4 to 5 stars! It is still working as well as it did when it was new and it has never given me any problems, even when the kids 'accidentally' sharpened the wrong end of a pencil and filled the wasted receptacle with eraser and metal shavings! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and would buy it again if this one ever croaks!

We bought this so my wife could sharpen here Crayola pencil crayons. She's only sharpened a half-dozen or so pencil crayons, but it does a much better job than the 20 year old electric sharpener we used previously. She also likes that the pencil is held vertically while sharpening, and that the unit has a small foot print. Overall, it's great!

Love!!!! It is so powerful and fast you could buzz through an entire pencil in less than 5 secs lol. Works great for any kind of pencils, great for hard pencils like Crayola's. Everyone that uses it orders one for themselves, I should get a commission for all the referrals lol

So upset. Won't sharpen properly after barely any uses. Return window is closed. This is lame. I'm on a drawing role and now I have to wait for a whole new sharperener. My husband refuses toGo to the store to get me one right now. This is lame and ruins my night.

L'appareil fonctionne parfaitement. Le réceptacle malheureusement est rapidement plein. Lorsque les mines de crayons brisent, elles restent bloquées au fond. Il faut alors tout démonter et sortir les mines.

Very nice sharpener! I have one I purchased elsewhere and I bought this one for a Christmas present. The one I have seems to be holding up well and I like the tip it gives...very sharp for intricate colouring.
