I think it can be placed on the rug. I placed it on the tile floor, it is quite stable.

Q: Will my 32 inch tv work with this?

The seller’s webpage says that it is for 49” to 70” LED TV only. My TV is 49” and it fits properly. You can ask the seller if the 32” TV can be used.

Q: Is this compatible with a soundbar, in conjunction with a TV?

The stand itself does not provide a holder for the sound bar.
