Ten One Design Mountie+ - for Use with SideCar - Mount Large Tablets and Portable Monitors for An Instant Second or Third Display for your Laptop Computer

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous ordering this product - however upon receiving a using, this is a great thought out product that works really well. This product is fantastic for travelling and works perfectly with my iPad and Macbook Air.

I tried the Mountie+ on several screens but was thwarted. The portable LCD screen I was using had a stepped bezel which limited how secure a grip these could get. Also my main Samsung monitor has a bezel which was far too thick.The best result I had was mounting the portable LCD above the screen of my Lenovo laptop, however the weight was too much for the hinge so I had to put a large book behind the laptop and even then it was rather wobbly.I gave it my best shot, but ultimately returned for a refund. If you have the kit for which this was specially designed (Mac/iPad) you'll likely fair better.The design of the Mountie+ is good so I was disappointed I couldn't get a configuration which worked for me.

Using this to secure two portable monitors (MSI 15.6”) to a work laptop (Lenovo X1 extreme). After finding the right rubber offsets and using the additional sticky pads (all provided) I was able to get the perfect amount of grip which holds everything in place. More importantly the monitors are all unharmed and the grips do not cause any weird visual artifacts when applied (like when you push your finger on a display)

Avoid this product at all costs.I followed the instruction, started off with the thinnest pad for the clap first. The first few were too thin which meant the clap didn’t grip my M1 MacBook Air. I got to the size that got some purchase when I closed the clamp and heard a small crack. The screen has a small fracture in the corner and has resulted in the screen not working at all now, only a small amount of illumination but no picture. I can only use the laptop with an external monitor now. Product is a nice idea but I wouldn’t advise taking the risk of destroying your laptop

If you do not like having to stick, sticky pads to your PC/Laptop then I would not buy this product. As with all things that you have to use sticky pads they do not last long and sometimes they are difficult to get off.

Marketed great but dont think that product idea is that good. At least for macbooks. Hinges are not performing good with added weight of second screen or ipad. Basically with little movemebt screen opens completely or closes. Also small movements while using keynoard makes big shaky movements on the mounted screen. Can be good for mounting relatively lighter screens or devices to the screens with powerful hinges. Macbooks are not one of those for sure.

Got this as well as a portable monitor to clip onto a laptop when a table is not present. Good grip and no damage to screens so good idea and works well..

I am currently working form home on a laptop and required a second monitor. I purchased a 15inch G-Story model, but struggled to position it appropriately beside my 17inch laptop.Despite the near £30 price, I decided to take a chance on this Mountie+ bracket, hoping it would be able to support the weight of the monitor. The product description doesn't mention that it will hold this size. However, it works a treat! I'm hoping it will also support a 17" QHD 120hz monitor when I can find one at the right price.Pricey, but arguably worth it if a dual-monitor laptop setup is a requirement.

Entgegen vieler anderer Bewertungen kann ich diverse Probleme mit Festem Halten oder Druckstellen nicht bestätigen.Ich benutze ein Mac Book Pro 15" 2019 und ein iPad Pro M1 12,9" 2021.Wo ich auch immer den Halter angebracht habe, er war/ist fest genug um ein schweres iPad Pro zu halten.Natürlich geht das auch mit einem iPhone 13 Pro, neuste Funktion bei IOS 16.1, dass die Kamera des iPhones als Facetimekamera genutzt werden kann.Beigelegt sind noch dreierlei unterschiedlich dicker Gummipuffer. Ich konnte direkt diese nutzen die schon bei Lieferung montiert waren.In den Bilder habe ich auch mal die maximalen Stellungswinkel hinterlegt, solange bis das Scharnier des Mac Book Pro nachgelassen haben.Ich bin rundum zufrieden, genau das was ich gesucht und gefunden habe.OK, die Halter könnten etwas billiger sein, aber sonst.Ach eines noch was ich überflüssig finde, die Kabel Durchführung.Die braucht man eigentlich nicht, denn es ist gar nicht möglich ein Ladekabel einzustecken wenn der Halter aktiv zwei Geräte miteinander zusammen hält, ein Beinbruch ist das jedoch nicht :)Nachtrag 04.12.2022Die Kabeldurchführung klappt doch mit dem Ladekabel, aber schon eng geworden das spiel 😁

Use it to hold an iPad Air 2 as a second monitor. The hold is solid. Just be aware of the added weight may throw the balance of your laptop off.

I think this is awesome. My only concern is about the possibility of damage to my laptop screen but I am sure that with proper care things will work out great.
