No More Microwave Dinners For Me!
Okay, I'll admit it - before I read this book, I didn't even know what the heck an empanada was. I've since kinda become obsessed with them. They're so easy to make, and so versatile, that even a single guy like me with virtually NO cooking skills can look like a rock star in the kitchen. And by the way - the Caramel Empanada recipe? Pure awesome. So's the cheese and mushroom one. I'm slowly working my way though the whole set, and I have to say, this book was a game changer for me. No more Swanson dinners here - I consider myself armed and dangerous in the cooking department, thanks to this book. Very well done, and the recipes are simple to follow (which is important to me, because I'm generally clueless in the kitchen).

Great filling ideas
Most cultures have a pocket appetizer. . I grew up with perogies and love all bread type morsels. There are some great party flavors in this little book.

but then, these are just cheaper and can have a whole bunch of different project books

No pictures. All recipes for frying and none for baking.

Well written cookbook with delicious sounding recipies.

Great recipes
Great recipes. The beef one tastes like the empanada at my local Cuban restaurant. Like that restaurant I've taken several of the savory filling recipes and used them for a main dish.

A good book for starting out

Good gadgat
I have used these and once I used a little oil to grease them, they where so easy to use and the parcels look good, staying closed. Good buy and quite robust.
