Lycra Hood with Zipper

Our mare can be destructive, so I ordered this instead of the one we got last year. Well, two, I tried it again with the same hole-y outcome. The Lycra quality on this one is definitely better. She has been wearing it a couple months now and it is standing up to her abuse well. Staying hopeful it will last the season, while knowing the horse it goes on is working against me.

Be aware that if you have a baroque horse, like Andalusians, Lusitanos, etc.. you may want to size up to accommodate their often thicker necks. My mare fits in the size recommended for her weight, but it’s tight, and a near thing. We’ll see if the zipper holds up to the power of an Andalusian neck!

i ordered a medium for my arab and it fit nice and snug and appeared to have enough clearance around his ears. After wearing this for a few days he had a cut on the outside of one of his ear that i called the vet out to address and a raw spot on his other ear...

I bought this to put on my gelding to help him to stop rubbing his mane out and with in an hour of him wearing it the whole zipper came off. The product wasn’t to tight if anything it was a little big so I know that had nothing to do with the entire zipper detaching. I’m extremely disappointed as this wasn’t exactly cheap

Fit our horse very well and the zipper made for easy on and off. Just make sure you put the Velcro together before you wash it. My daughter forgot and it really shows the snags on a solid color

We absolutely love these. The quality is great as my gelding has to wear it 24/7 to protect his long mane. It's a heavy enough material to be good, yet not to heavy to be hot. I've ordered multiple to have on hand.

It's easy to get on and off with no problem.

Fits perfectly was easily torn but still easy to stitch together
