I'm using them in a hutch, to display coins (which weigh an oz at most), and the shelves are well-suited to that task. So, in summary, these "cupcake stands" are great for other display purposes. There are 2 "headless screws" (blind screws, like threaded rod) per unit, that can be inserted by hand--if you have normal finger strength.
