From the bottom of the base to the top of the sphere is about 12 inches. **Q: Are the colors only pink?** A: Pretty much....it occasionally Sparks white, blue & purple, but it is mostly pink. **Q: Is this great enough to makeTesla or whoever discovered (invented?) this roll over in his grave and go back to dead?** A: This is a very nice toy. My daughter (9) and son (7) lost interest quickest.
