3.53oz Felting Wool Wool Roving Pure Wool, Chunky Yarn for Needle & Wet Felting, Spinning & DIY Crafts (red)

There is something off about this "wool". I've used it exclusively for wet felting and it does not behave like 100% wool. The description does not state whether it is or isn't, but I'm feeling like this is not natural wool. It also bleeds dye when working with it. It feels and smells absolutely like the artificial, faux "hair" sold in craft stores. The texture is almost slippery smooth and doesn't lend well to felting as felting involves interlocking fibers via friction, poking, etc. and I've had a lot of difficulty working with this product. Hoping to donate the large amount leftover to a school art program.

I used this wool along with another from this same vendor to wet felt a pair of slipers. This was my first time wet felting and I am pleased with the results.

I’m very new to felting and this is my first time purchasing this kind of felt... so I’m not sure if this is normal or not... but it smells horrible! Like rotten eggs. I left it outside in a box, in hopes that the smell will dissipate because right now the smellIs far too overwhelming to work with. I can’t really comment on the quality of this because I’m so new to it... I don’t know what’s real or not, but I will update on the smell and how easy it is work with.

I used this wool roving for needle felting. So far, my felting project has not turned out great, but that's an issue with my skills and not this roving :) I hope to be able to use some of this to practice spinning my own yarn, but I need a spindle first. I will update my review when I have attempted to spin this

I ordered the wool for needle felting, which is something I'm still new to. This is one of the softest wools I've used so far, and it was a lot more than I thought! I was scared I wouldn't have enough but I have more than enough! It pulls apart easy and is so so so so soft, I can't stress it enough! It felts really well. I love it! I need to order more colors!

I love the purple colors in the yarn and it is exactly what I was looking for.
