Kismet
I liked the book. The characters were real and the plot was great. The town added to the story and it was a fun read.

good story I really enjoyed it
I really liked this story. Can't figure why I didn't review it when I read it several months ago. But, it was short but good. Length of a book doesn't bother me if it gets the story told and this one did. High school sweethearts have a spat and break up. She goes out with the school jock and winds up pregnant. They marry and have the baby but he is a jerk. She finally divorces him and starts out on her own. Events happen and she winds up meeting her first love but there are big issues. Good story and I really enjoyed it. Certainly would recommend it.

Cute
Overall Rating: 2.75Story Line: 3.00Characters: 2.50Fun: 2.75Romance: 3.00This was just 'Okay'. As most of Phillips books are for me. I know I shouldn't be reading books from an author I'm not a fan of but I picked up a small collection of her books at yard sales/charity shops/cheap on amazon when I was a fan. I'm just working my way through what I have. I only have 6 left!As for this story… it's cute, quick paced, and short. It features a second chance romance/reunion trope which I know a lot of people glom on. For that reason, I'd recommend this one. Even though it's #1.5 in the series, I didn't read the first book and I had no problems with this story. Yay for series books that can be read as stand-alones! Also, I'm making a request that authors go to a school and study the behavior of kids in the age group they plan on writing. There's a 10 year old in this tale that behaves like she's 4! Um~ fail. Nothing rips me from a story quicker than bad characters…this is why I hate children in romances.
