Love this hat/netting! I live in western Maryland where it's super humid and the mosquitoes are horrific here in summer. This unit does a nice job keeping all the bugs out of my face during summer, makes going outside during the day bearable. My wife and kids think I look ridiculous, but I don't care; I'm not sitting there swatting bugs off my face all the time.I like that the brim is stiff yet flexible. Stiff enough that it provides a good bit of shade and keeps the netting off your face, but soft enough you can fold the hat and stuff it into a bag if needed.I ended up cutting off the chin strap as the hat stays pretty snug even when riding motorized equipment like tractor or mower and it just got in the way. However, I wish there was a way to remove it or snap it out of the way so that it was there if I needed it (high speed boating, for example). But, so far, I haven't missed it.

The fabric is very nice. I bought this as this seemed to get the best reviews among similar products.The idea is good; the design (engineering) has a couple of flaws: 1) The net does not stay around the brim. I basically removed the top elastics and used the other size to adjust the net; 2) The hat should have adjustable circumference if it claims to fit heads that are 2" bigger or smaller.I decided to keep it after making modifications myself.

The hat and net are well made, as described, and effective. I have a large head so the fit is a little snug for me but it works. Fits fine on my wife. We had a worse than usual mosquito season this year which prompted me to get this hat and net. When the netting isn't needed the hat works well alone as sun protection. I would guess the netting could be used on other hats as well since the inner radius is on an elastic band and expandable. There are netted air vents on the sides, the hat is lined where it fits against the head and has a netted lining inside. There are snaps on both sides so the brim can be snapped up on one or both sides. It seems to be well stitched. No complaints.

I do sprinting up a very steep hill in an area that is teeming with many very friendly knats. After swallowing one, I was inspired to get this hat. It is perfect! 100% effective in keeping the knats away and I could breathe with no restrictions. Both the hat and net stayed in place during the sprints.

This summer has been sooo extra buggy in SoCal, and these mosquito net hats are a MUST on buggy hikes. They keep 100% of the darn gnats/bugs from going up your nose/ears/eyes and allow you to enjoy nature in peace. Obviously not the most attractive thing to wear, but the hat itself without the net is actually quite cute! The black net does not obscure your vision at all, and you forget you're wearing it. Folds up easily and is easy to pack. I like that the netting is removable and can be pulled off and stuffed in a pocket when not in use. The only thing I would have added is an opening for my ponytail.Anyway, this is definitely worth the money. Someone actually offered me $50 during a long hike for this hat 😂 ...I said no.

I wear this along with face mask when I go shopping during the Pandemic.1. It keeps other people AWAY from me (yeah, I get the 'looks'!)2. It REMINDS me to NOT TOUCH MY FACE.3. It also reminds me to NOT SPIT!and - - in addition - - it does help keep mosquitoes, bees, and other small flying creatures away!

I like this hat a lot. I really was looking for a more natural fiber one, this is something synthetic, but it's a good shape, it has a good wide brim that stays out will no fuss. The netting is separate from the hat, and fits over the top. At first I wanted one that was attached, then realized with this, I can use it on other hats too. With it fitting over the hat, it goes over the wide brim, so you don't have netting stuck to your face in your way. I could see through it very well. I bought it to keep those annoying black flies away from my ears, and mosquitos. Tried it once and I think it will work, but i need to give it another test somewhere buggier.One note, it has mesh around the top crown of the hat which gives some ventilation, but it might not work as a rain hat. Haven't tried it in the rain yet.

I purchased this bug net hat along with another one. Ended up keeping them both.This hat is a much higher quality hat than I was expecting. It's a thicker fishing/camping type hat.The netting has an elastic on one end that you slip over the hat and it hugs the crown of the hat. hangs down over the brim and has a pull cord to tighten around your neck/etc.Had a terrible odor when it arrived. So I hung it up in an unused room for over two months to air it out. The odor dissipated.
