Takes a little getting used to doing the first wheel. I was concerned having fitted the rim, there would be an air leak between the tyre and the rim itself, and there was a leak where the two rim ends meet. I pulled out both ends and applied a compound gasket seal using a tube of it in a gun such as you would use to apply mastic around a bath. That took care of the leak. The glue supplied cured very quickly and stopped me gluing the two ends, so, I didn't use it but only to affix the covering cap to conceal the joint.On the second tyre, I first applied the gasket seal in the gap between the rim and the tyre all around the circumference. It acts as a lubricant, so I never used soapy liquid. This worked well. I did not use the glue but only for the capping. No leaks. Looks a treat !! Best rims yet. I've tried the others. They come off or they expand and come away. I like Alloygaitors as there's little chance they will detach as they are sunk inside the alloy rim. The second tyre took me around 30 mins. I took it off the car and placed it on a work bench - much better to work with.

A bit of a challenge to fit, but they will absolutely protect your rims. I'd advise though if you have a very high performance vehicle (e.g. tesla plaid) to expect that these will move a bit on very hard acceleration/cornering. Should be brilliant for the majority of users and customer service is absolutely fantastic

I was initially impressed with the concept and the ease of installation of the AlloyGators. However, I have encountered a recurring issue that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. The protective strips frequently come off the tires, often within a short period of driving. This not only defeats the purpose of the protection but also results in additional damage to the alloys and the alloygator during the removal process.Despite following the installation guidelines meticulously, the problem persists. As a member of a passionate car community, the protection and aesthetic maintenance of our vehicles are of utmost importance. I believe that many within our group, who are potential customers, would benefit from a resolution to this issue.Could you please provide any advice or solutions to prevent the AlloyGators from coming off regularly? Additionally, if there are any specific installation tips or recommended practices that might help in ensuring a more secure fit, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you for your attention to this matter. Absolutely perfect for my car, perfect fit.

Does the job nicely however I've been using these for sone time now on 3 different vehicles and have noticed a build up of dirt inside the wheel rim when new tyres have been fitted. It's caused a poor seal allowing air to escape. Had to take car back to tyre fitter to find out what caused it. As a result the wheels all had to be stripped back to metal with a daisy wheel and rubber cement used to reinforce the airtight seal.This hasn't stopped me using them because it would otherwise cost me £200 to replace or refurbish a wheel.Just wish they didn't cost as so much otherwise I would have given them a 5 star rating.

Good quality but not a perfect fit on rim alloygator should do a vehichle reg check before supplying to see if the product is compatible

I bought a complete set of these units in black in January 2020, and when fitted they did a tremendous job of protecting my newly refurbished wheel.They did just what it stated on the box !!!Just prior to my MOT this January I purchased new tyres. Unfortunately the fitter made a right mess of the first wheel and ruined the AlloyGator. He took more care and followed the instructions on how to replace tyres safely as provided by Alloygator and passed to him by me.I approached Alloygator and told them of my problem.They have provided a single replacement unit to me, free of charge and supplied the jointing slips as well !!Now that is what I call after sales custom care and support.Thank you for your support and service, I shall continue to recommend them to my friends, one of who has already fitted his car with them. He was always "kerbing" his wheels, They still look great.Sincere and grateful thanks.Colin

Followed instructions to the letter first hit with a dead blow and it broke out. Not sure what else could have been done won’t be buying again !

I have this product on two of my automobiles and just replaced tires on one, It is difficult, if not impossible to reuse them again, so I purchased another set and will install them myself.

They have been on the rims for 1 year (off the car Nov to March). They look great and covered up some curb rash. Just take extra care with install making sure they are well seated. Worth the money.
