This was sold as 925 pure Italian silver. The chain has now turned and faded into metal and dark colored. NOT silver, MAYBE, SILVER coated at best. Very unhappy and left feeling scammed and like a cheap skate for gifting this chain.

This is a really nice sterling silver rope chain. I got the 24 inch length and it is perfect for the pendant I am using. The chain is substantial without being weighty. It isn’t too thin nor too thick. I would rate it at a medium. It looks strong enough to hold a heavy pendant but a dainty pendant would look good on it too.It is 925 sterling silver which I believe is the standard. Nothing about it being nickel or lead free listed. The chain has a lobster claw clasp which to me always means a better chain. It certainly makes it easier to put on and take off. The chain is shiny and looks really good with my pendant.I liked this rope chain so much I bought another one in a 26 inch length.I’ve been wearing it every day and only take it off to shower and so far no turning or any problems.

It's a pretty necklace so far, having had it one day. I'll see if it turns black like some other reviewers have experienced. BUT under a magnifying glass I can read ITALY however NO number 925 which signifies sterling. I would like to disagree with at least one reviewer who said "sterling silver never turns black". Baloney - it gets tarnished and the tarnish can be black. That's why we have to polish sterling silver. I'll update if mine turns black. Today is 2/23/2020 and it's the first day I am wearing the necklace.

I like the chain and am pleased with my purchase so far. What I'm not happy about is the 4 day shipping. I am a Prime member & only buy items that qualify for free 2 day shipping. This necklace advertised as being 2 day Prime shipping but it took 4 days. Amazon should not allow sellers to post 2 day shipping if they can't make that deadline.

My wife wanted to get several different rope chains at reasonable prices, and this is one of the chains she chose. We were very impressed by the feel and workmanship of the chain. It could pass for more than costume jewelry. It appears to be high quality and durable. The day after she got it, she accidentally left it overnight in a jewelry cleaning solution. This was a true test of its quality, because the solution didn't harm the chain. It had a beautiful shine. We're pleased with this purchase and will buy from this company again.

I purchased this chain for use with a silver pendant as a gift. The chain was exactly what I hoped for -- attractive, reasonably heavy so it's not likely to break, and easy for a teenager to get on and off. It was exactly what I was looking for.

I really liked it for 1.5 days!Until the clasp bent out and I almost lost the chain and my pendant.Either broke the weld or it wasn’t welded in the first place.

Beautiful, thick chain looks great when worn alone or with a large pendant. It is a bright, almost white silver that I hope will tarnish just a bit so it's not so shiny. I like my chain so much that I ordered another one to give as a gift. You can never have too many silver chains in a variety of lengths, and this chain will add to your collection at a great price.

I love the length (I purchased the longest option), however it is really light silver. My large antique locket is sterling silver and looks “dirty” on this chain.
