Quality light bulbs at a good price

I bought this little beauty as a replacement for 4 billion watt halogen in my range hood. If you pointed that bulb towards the sky you could light up Saturn. Or Uranus. But its time had come and she burned out. I bought this LED replacement to save on my energy bills and Joe Biden would approve. Come on man. It worked fine for a few days but then it started to flicker and which eventually turned into a flash. And every time I go to grab it to remove it and send it in for a replacement it stops flashing. So I just leave it alone. This bulb is toying with my emotions.

I bought these bulbs to replace the ones on the hood over my range. Upon examining the bulbs before installing, the quality looked very good, however... I've noticed that some people have complained about flickering, which I can also see though it is barely visible. I didn't point it out to my wife and so far she hasn't noticed. But one thing she did notice is that although these bulbs are called "soft white", they are more like cold white. Nothing too warm about the light they produce, more like a fluorescent tube. Unpleasant. Finally, the hood they were installed in has four settings for the lights: Off, low, medium and high. The problem is, that when you turn them off, the setting should be called "Almost off". They stay on, just barely noticeable, but they are on. The pennies that this might cost probably wouldn't amount to enough to matter and some people might like a light this dim as a kitchen night-light, but for me, I'd rather they just be all the way off. This is the first time we've ever used LED bulbs for the range hood and prior to this none of these issues existed.

The soft white version is more blue than 3000K as described. It is supposed to be dimmable but really the reduction of intensity is very small. On top of this the stated height 3.19" is WRONG - it is really 3.40" and the light stick out from the case.
