Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Star Wars) (Little Golden Book)

Bought this to go along with the New Hope and Return of the Jedi that I bought at a local book store. I purchased them as a gift for my niece. She has never watched the Star Wars movies, but she very much likes Darth Vader. She has learned some of the story through popular culture, but my hope is to allow her to read the basic storyline before I force her to watch the movies with me. Maybe if she knows the cast of characters and their general roles, she will be more engaged in the films.The book is great. It's well illustrated and well condensed. The perfect introduction to Empire Strikes Back

What's not to like about these?? These are great if your a Star Wars fan and you want to introduce your youngsters to the Star Wars Universe. The stories are summed up, so they are great for young readers as well.

Cute book! I read it to my 3 year old daughter and she loves it. The book is short, but it does a good job of summarizing the main points of the storyline. The only disappointing thing is the book doesn't show Vader chopping his son's hand off. Other than that, really cute book and cute illustrations.

I gave this whole series to my son on this third birthday. Due to all of the strange names and the chosen vocabulary, I had to explain a lot to him the first few times we read the books. But now, I can read them as they are written and he loves them.
