Flickering
Product installs easy. Good for the price but the quality isn’t that great. I was shipped the wrong color at first too and as an electrician it helps to have all materials in hand on site and correct. Causes delays and time. I installed 44 of these in a new construction home. Every single one of them flickered...sometimes all at the same time throughout the home. The Sunco agent was not helpful and said they could be a bad batch and that they would send me 44 new ones and for me to send back the old ones. Said it would arrive within 3-5 business days and I’d receive a confirmation e mail. Never got the email and 3-4 days passed. I called again and was told they would call me back and he had to get in touch with agent I spoke with. Following week came and I received an email and that I’d have to send back the 44 defective trims to receive new ones under warranty or buy new ones and send back. If I was told this in first place I wouldn’t have let a week gone by being pressed for time because homeowner was not satisfied but of course the 3rd agent I spoke with told me they didn’t know who it was I spoke with but the second agent knew... what made it even worst was the fact that 8 of them were in a high foyer and great room 22-25 ft ceilings. It was inconvenient to have to get 14-16ft ladder in to take them down and reinstall a better brand from Lowe’s. The 4” Sunco I do recommend. Had 3 in bookshelves and none flickered. Also I work for a general contractor who supplies the LED recessed lighting for their custom new construction and remodels and we install the 4” trims and work great. Never an issue. I have never written a review ever for anything and this is the first because it was just a bad experience. I did not want to tape the chance to reinstall 44 new Sunco trims with the chance that they’d flicker again. I installed a Lowe’s brand and not an issue at all. The 4” Sunco trims I do recommend.

Couldn’t be happier
I wasn’t sure what to expect with the mixed reviews but I couldn’t be happier with these lights. I ordered 12 in total and all arrived safely. None were DOA like other reviews mention. They were super easy to install. My husband and I had all 12 up in 3 different rooms in under an hour. They are SUPER bright and really helped in our dim kitchen and master bath. The 5000k daylight is a true daylight. Very nice, clean, bright white color with absolutely no yellow. They are a little more expensive than the bulbs we had in our can lights but so much brighter and whiter. They sim perfectly with no flicker. I will not hesitate to purchase from this brand again.

Value+Quality=Satisfaction
I was ready to replace my downlight bulbs so I went to my local hardware store and found them for $25 each. I decided to shop around and I found this four pack for roughly the same price as one at the hardware store. They seem to be well made. They are light weight and have an insulation ring to protect against moisture. They were easier to install than previous brands. I like how snug they fit to the ceiling. My previous brand left a small gap between the light and ceiling. No gap with these. I am well satisfied.

Better for a discotheque than a bathroom
These Sunco lights are weird. I installed four of them in a bathroom that's equipped with a toggle switch (not dimmer). When I turn on the switch, sometimes all of the Sunco lights come on. Other times, only some of them do. And other times, none of them do. If I turn on a hair dryer or other appliance in the bathroom, the Sunco lights will flicker like strobe lights at a discotheque.By trial and error, I learned that all lights in the adjacent bedroom have to be turned off FIRST before turning on the Sunco lights; only then will the Sunco lights work properly. This problem did not occur with the LED bulbs that the Sunco lights replaced, so it's not an issue with the house wiring or circuit overload. Now that I figured out the trick to make the Sunco lights work, I'll keep them. But I wouldn't buy them again.

Very cheap casing
I can't speak to how the light looks because I decided to return them as soon as I got my hands on them. The plastic trim/housing of the lights is very cheap feeling like the kind of plastic that some things come packaged in. I don't quite know how to describe it but even if you didn't touch them, you can visually see they are cheaply made by how shiny and generically molded they are.

Perfect fit
Replaced 4 incandescent par can bulbs with these LED’s in about 10 minutes. I like the feature of being able to adjust the fit to a 5” or 6” par can with the turn of 1 simple screw. The springs and hardware were very good and tight… no sag. Brightness was right on point. Packaging by the manufacturer could have been better. All 4 lights were thrown in one box with no separation between the units putting some minor scuffs on the face plates of the lights but these weren’t really visible from the floor once installed. Amazon packaging was good. Would buy again.

Easy to install, flicker at lowest dim
I like they they retrofit very easily into existing buckets. I am using a Lutron LED dimmer switch but find that at the lowest dim these lights flicker. Had to adjust the minimum setting on the switch itself, but now the dimmest light I get isn't dim enough. So I either live with a low flicker or brighter-than-desired light. I have them installed on two separate circuits throughout my house. Same result in both cases. Little upsetting, will probably go with a different brand next time.

Will not sit flush against the ceiling
These are fine for light output but no matter what, they will not sit flush against the ceiling. So they look cheap because they are sagging __ will be contacting Sunoco about this and will update re how they respond.
