Folds flat and is small enough to fit in your pocket. I take it with me all the time. It is also very thick and does not crack. I wash it with soap and water and even through it in the dish washer. I used my last one for 4 years until a friend left it at the park. Went through 7 different ones to find the correct replacement. This is good for tiny dogs and big ones (labs and pit bulls have drank out of this at the dog park since I will never turn away a thirsty dog, but I would suggest a bigger one for regular use). I have this one and the previous one (same company, size and shape) for my dog as she grew from 3 pounds to 14 pounds. It would be good for a dog up to 20-25 pounds for regular use, bigger dogs in a pinch. Truly the best one on the market and worth every cent I paid for it.

I bought two of the small size as food and water bowls for our cat, and they're the perfect size. Durable enough to use outdoors, they're also easy to clean and great for travel.Update Sep 2012: I've bought a few replacements over the last couple of years as the other ones got chewed up by raccoons (food left out at night by accident) or just generally beat up. Once thing I notice is that after a time, the material gets kind of tacky and just doesn't seem to wash "clean." I took a star away for that, and I'm thinking it might be time for a new kind of dish.

I bought this bowl because I take my small dog just about everywhere. When we go to outdoor restaurants, they sometimes bring a bowl of water out for him, but not always. Now I just ask for a glass of water, get out his collapsible bowl and fill it up. Or when we are walking, I used to pour water from my water bottle into my hand and have him drink that way - not very efficient. Now I hang his bowl from his leash or my belt loop and it is easily available. I am very sensitive to the smells of chemicals and there was little to no smell from this bowl. I love the convenience, how easy it is to open and close, and how sturdy it is. My neighbor saw me use this bowl and immediately ordered one for her dog. What a great invention!

I have been looking and looking for a bowl like this. I have a small long haired service dog that wears the vest and all the identification badges. He gets hot and of course has to cover lots of miles because I use a scooter. I can store a bottle of water, plus this dish right in the pocket on the scooter. I got two just in case I lost one.Because is pops up to form a complete bowl you only have to raise it enough to put in the amount of water the dog needs. Best of all, it is dishwasher safe. Just lay it flat and put it on the top rack. There are no seams or anything to get caught in.I am seriously thinking of getting a couple of the larger dogs.

So, the blame really falls on me for this, for not reading the detail and making an assumption - but I thought I was ordering two bowls from the photo of the product. I'm not saying it is mis-leading at all - it's not. It says "cup" - not "cups" - but the reason I took away one star was because of the value. I thought I was paying for 2. I was fine with that. However, I don't know that just one is worth the cost. I probably would not have ordered it if I have read better. Oh well.

These nifty bowls are designed to be portable. I frequently fly with my 10 pound dog, and take her with me, when out and about around town. These bowls are perfect for pouring a little water in for a quick drink. They come in different sizes and this smaller size is perfect for cats and smaller dogs . . .however, for larger pets, I'd definately recommend the lager size.I own several . . .and keep one in my car, another clipped to the inside of my purse, one inside my pet's travel bag, one attached to her stroller. Wouldn't want to be out and about without it. And while these are perfect for quick drinks, I would not recommend this bowl as a permanent solution for water as they are easily tipped over.

Good water bowl. The size is right and it's comfortable to hang this on my belt loop and I don't know it's there. The size allows my two heelers to drink at the same time. I have used it a lot for about a year and it's holding up well too. My last similar one separated from the rim after a short time, but this brand seems to be much more durable. I would buy this product again.

I bought one in pink and another in purple for when we travel or if she takes a hike with me in the foot hills behind us. It has the "D" clip on it so I can attach it to a belt loop on my pants so it's no problem at all to bring along! I got her used to drinking from the cup at home first because once we are out and about she will not drink from my cupped hand or other things I've tried. This is perfect. I would highly recommend it for any owner of the little guys. It holds just about half a cup of water.

Brilliant piece of equipment & easily hooks onto backpack or other bag.Do not always want to carry round dog water bottles & this is easily filled.Fussy dog hates drinking out of public dog bowls, this solves the problem.Will be buying another one to keep in the car. Good quality.*_*
