As the world’s first and only perpendicular action toaster, DeltaToast is a radical re-invention. It holds the bread in a perpendicular position with respect to the heat source and, as a result, the slice is toasted on both sides simultaneously - as with an electric toaster. With other stovetop and camping toasters you have to flip the bread to toast both sides, while one side is always exposed to cooling from the open air. This toaster’s stylish triangular or “delta” shape allows for a much more efficient heating relative to other stovetop alternatives. So you use less energy and toasting is faster. DeltaToast is very compact and was designed specifically for small kitchens – in apartments, boats, RV’s, etc. These kitchens have precious little countertop space to host an electric toaster. Important note for ELECTRIC COOKTOP OWNERS. THIS APPLIANCE WILL WORK ONLY ON CERTAIN ELECTRIC COOKTOPS. Great for sailboats
I live on a sailboard and am preparing for a long voyage where AC power in currents sufficient to run a traditional toaster will not be available. This little guy solved the problem in a very space efficient manner. I bought some sandwich bags to use with it and have been enjoying toasted sandwiches when I might have made less healthy grilled cheese instead. It discolored with use, but that's not something I personally cared about.

PERFECTION!!
I have the tiniest kitchen but my burners heat really fast. I just plain do not have the counter space for a regular toaster. And who needs it with this??? I hesitated to buy it because of the price but I cannot say how happy I am with the purchase! Yes, it makes one slice of regular toast at a time but does both sides of that slice as compared to the toaster oven which took forever and I tended to forget about at least one of the sides while cooking. I did not realize how much I missed the simple luxury of toast! (Be sure to read their test to determine if it will work on your electric burner before buying.)

Good quality, but takes a lot of heat.
This toaster is very well made and quite solid. It requires a very large burner and a long time to make toast compared to other toasters we have. A full sized cast iron skillet is actually faster and does a better job. Adjusting, folding, and opening it is a bit fussy.

Skip it.....
Small kitchen, limited counter space, thought this would be perfect. Used according to instructions, burned on bottom, basically just dried out bread. Over priced, not worth 40 plus dollars.

clever design, works well
Clever design. Toast quickly and evenly. Solidly made. Read instruction of how to open and close as it is not intuitive. Improper closing will bend parts of it.

It's early days, but it's working well
As I said in the headline, we've only had it for a few days, but it was easy to use and works well. I'll try and update this review once we've had more experience with it. If it holds up, I'll probably bump the review to 5 stars.

Aesthetically pleasing 1-serving toaster
Cute, small and easy to use. Fits 1 slice or two small slices (or a half a bagel), not great if you're making toast for multiple people - but that's what the oven is for, anyway. This definitely lived up to my expectations and I like the style.

Nice and compact
Pretty handy and compact for a small NYC kitchen. Once I got the hang of using it, it’s pretty easy. It toasts well, especially with a toaster bag.

Cooking on gas!
I came across this by chance on you tube whilst looking at toasters for camping, I was quite surprised at the price and nearly didn't buy it, but I am really glad I did.Toasts a slice of frozen bread in just over two minutes, against ten minutes under the grill in the motorhome, and because it's so quick the centre of the bread is still quite soft instead of too dry. Really clever design because it can be adjusted for different thicknesses of bread, I can't wait to try it on slices of baguette! I think some of my friends might be asking about it when they see it on the stove, because it's not immediately obvious what it's for.

Makes more mess than a two year old.
Makes good toast, but having used this device on a sunken motorhome gas hob which had to be dismantled to clean after use, wish I had kept my money in my pocket as the delta went in the bin after one week.My own fault, it should have been obvious what would happen.

Excellent choice for any area
Excellent choice for any area.without electricity. Marked well gor use so doesn't get broken before one understands which direction to open it.Use ut on our small yacht gas stove all the time.used to miss toast and have it now again

Satisfies toast and design desires nicely
Smaller than expected but perfectly fits a regular slice of British toast. Makes beautifully browned toast, a bit quicker than expected. Such a great object for a toast and design lover. Worth the dosh if you can afford it.
