Just one page at a time format makes it easy to pick up and just flip to a page ...
This book has been very helpful as my husband and I travel through this journey with Alzheimer's. Just one page at a time format makes it easy to pick up and just flip to a page if you want or go in order. The Carpe Diem notes at the bottom of the page are most helpful. Thank you!

A Very Helpful Book
Dr. Wolfelt knows what he is when he writes these books.I bought this for my friend as he deals with his disappearing mother. He said it's quite helpful when he is sad or angry at the disease.

Recognizing our grief
This book has quick tips for dealing with caring for someone you love who has Alzheimer's. We care givers sure need all the help we can get. It's good to see a book helping us to deal with our grief in losing someone we love over a long period of time. As Nancy Reagan called it, "The long goodbye." Many books talk about the "how" to care give, but this is only one I've found that focusses on the grief.

Much to Think About
I like how this little book is filled with ideas, helpful information. It also offers strength and comfort for the caregiver. I have a sister with Alzheimer's and see many ideas to use with her.

Great for a pep talk; less useful for deeper struggles
It's not like the AA 10 steps that basically says go read a bible. But even with the respect to a variety of religious faiths or lack thereof, I really find it a long-winded list of platitudes. I've read a lot about Alzheimer's, so I'm admittedly jaded, but I haven't found anything tangible I haven't heard before. But books like this should exist, especially for those who are new to care for an loved one with Alzheimer's or those who get inspired by pep talks.

Dementia and it’s many faces
It’s hard to lose a loved one twice but this book helps you deal with that. You get tips to celebrate the good days and deal with the not-so-good days. There are so many of us dealing with this “disease” today and this a great book to help navigate the murky waters of dementia.
