A must have for any coffee drinker.
The media could not be loaded. The pitcher came in a cute nifty box that you could gift someone with no need to wrap it up. The directions are clearly printed on 3 sides. The glass is temperature resistant up to 1000*F yet weighs very little. The filter works great keeping most sediment out of the brew. Pitcher is perfect size. Pic shows pitcher (our 2nd batch) next to standard size creamer from Walmart. Part of the 1st batch is in the LSU bottle. We used the 12 hr @ room temp method the 1st time. 2nd batch we are using the 20-24 hr in the fridge method. 120g (1 1/2 cup) of beans grounded will fill the filter to the top. We gently swished the brew in the pitcher a couple of times during process.Take care when removing lid from filter. We removed lid while filter was inside the pitcher. I attempted to remove lid while holding the filter in one hand. I nearly crushed the VERY THIN walls of the filter!!!

Beautiful Carafe, Poor Execution.
I honestly don't use this as intended. I bought it to make cold brew coffee, however, it's really not great at it. I'll explain further down.Several reviewers say the glass is really thin. It is, but doesn't seem any thinner than my french press carafe. However I do take a few precautions- I don't pick the pitcher up by the handle when it's full (this defeats the purpose of a handle, but beats coffee and glass shards all over), and I put a silicone pot holder under it when in the fridge.Pros-The glass carafe is beautiful.-The mouth on the carafe is wide enough to put your hand in so you can wash the carafe easily.-The filter and lid are stainless steel and the gasket is silicone so I dont have to worry about leaching chemicals from plastic.Cons-The stainless lid is 2 pieces of sheet steel which are not sealed so water and whatever else can get in, but you can't clean in there or see it.-The filter is sheet stainless as well and is tac welded, thats fine, but the edge is sharp and I cut myself trying to clean the inside of the filter. Not cool.-There is only 1 gasket, its on the filter, so not only is the seal not air tight, but you cannot remove the coffee filter and store the coffee in the carafe.-I'm not sure if there's not enough space for coffee or the filter doesn't allow enough water flow into the grounds, but no matter how much coffee grounds you put in, its weak even after sitting 48 hours. After saying that, the way I use this, is put the grounds and water in a pitcher, let it set for 48 hours and pour the slurry into the stainless filter & carafe. This way gets French Press strength coffee, enough for 2 days worth.

Boyfriend Loved it!
It was the perfect gift he used it for a couple weeks, but when he cleaned it the other day, he managed to break a part in the middle of the wider part, so I had to find a replacement. all in all it is a great gift but might be best to just stick it in the dishwasher rather than hand wash it.

Does not seal
This does not seal completely because of the lip of the glass. Otherwise it is great and makes excellent coffee

Boyfriend loves his cold brew coffee maker!
Bought this for my boyfriend who loves his cold brew coffee. He did make some adjustments to directions because he likes his coffee strong but he loves it.... only wishes it was larger.

Horrible shipping damage...hopefully it gets replaced before Christmas
I can’t believe Amazon or Home Story would send a box like this. Not only was it missing the actual lid to the container, but you guessed it, glass on the bottom was broke. Wonderful Christmas gift for my brother. I tried Amazon for Christmas orders this year, but never again. I cannot believe it was shipped like this. If I could select no stars, I would.
