Product number: 2018-12-23 The Tsuba (鍔or 鐔) is usually a round or occasionally squarish guard at the end of the grip of bladed Japanese weapons. They contribute to the balance of the weapon and to the protection of the hand. The Tsuba was mostly meant to be used to prevent the hand from sliding onto the blade during thrusts as opposed to protecting from an opponent's blade. The following tsubas are made of IRON, they can be put on Katana or Wakizashi swords. NOTE: (1). Great tsuba that shipped fast.
Given the current circumstances, I didn't know how long to expect to wait.In the past, two weeks was pretty average for anything coming over from China but I've seen a serious uptick in shipping times.Not with this. I received this within a week and a half from China to the St.Louis area.The tsuba came exactly as shown with two seppa and two bamboo mekugi pegs.All in all, a VERY nice little kit that shipped and arrived faster than I would have expected in the best of times.
