I use this to charge a battery maintainer for my car
I work from home. I don't drive as often as I used to. My car battery started to lose its charge due to inactivity. I installed a battery maintainer to keep the battery charged on my car. This extension cord is perfect for the battery maintainer as it is under the hood. Since it is flat I can close the hood while it is hooked up to the battery maintainer. It works perfectly.

Solid Cord for Medium-Heavy Duty tasks (15A, 14gauge, but 125V and UL listed)....medium flexibility....Flat head plug
Exactly what I expected, a major appliance cord (14 gauge). After the fact I learned about cords and realized that because I was potentially placing a heavy load on the cord that I probably should have gone 12 gauge (do your research on electricity). This cord will work fine for most air conditioners and some appliances, but if you're going to be maxing out the outlet I think you might be better off with a 12-gauge or bigger (just based on what I read...I'm not an expert). But, the cord has worked perfectly for me (hence 5 stars). If you want something that's flexible in all directions you should be sure to go with a round cord, this one has 3 thick tubes (making it more of a flat-style ford) together that do not move in all directions easily. I do like the flat plug head but you need to also take that into consideration depending on where your outlet is (the flat plug head could block an outlet below it if top is only option). Also, I mounted the cord into a raceway (purchased individual pieces from the local big box hardware retailer) and it looks great running up the wall, not even noticeable and allows me to leave everything close to the plug and plug-in points. No heat issues and is working great.
