Top Quality
I’m a bit of a fair weather biker and camper and wanted to flesh out my kit a bit. These are always handy to have and this particular set works very well. Would not hesitate to buy again when needed

Reliable in a storm.
Good, reliable matches for emergency use. Can be lit in a windy and wet situation.

Small but mighty
Great company, fast delivery, smaller tin than I was expecting but that's a good thing. The matches work, the tin is really well made and a bit retro which is nice in this world of space age fire starting gizmos.

Tiny
A much smaller tin than I expected, but perhaps just what a hiker needs to travel light. The lid slides open rather than pulling off.

An active liability
I bought these matches to be part of a small emergency kit to be used in the event that my main source of starting fire is lost in an upcoming motorcycle trip during which I'll be camping in a particularly cold climate. I'm very glad I decided to test them before I stowed them away, as no amount of striking on the provided striking strip or another I tried OR various rough surfaces I tried would light a match - necessary as after perhaps a dozen attempts on the provided strip, the rough surface had been taken away by the match on two thirds of the surface of the strip. They would spark but not light no matter what I tried. I got through six of the matches before finally giving up. When lighting them with a lighter they were indeed completely waterproof and windproof, but that kind of defeats the purpose, no?Had I taken these and relied on them for starting fires in the upcoming months I may very well be dead. If I could leave less than one star, I would.

Mild rain and wind test…
In the Lake District on a hike and realised I’d taken these instead of normal matches. Wasn’t worried even though the rain was fairly heavy and winds surrounding. Ended up using most of the box trying to set alight my MSR burner. Utterly useless tiny piece of card to strike the matches on. Virtually disappeared after 3rd match and although only damp the matches would not strike. Hate to think of anyone relying on these in really bad conditions.
