- Ingredients and principles involved in the artisanal production of "handmade" has longer been abandoned for the benefit of "profitability". A high quality soap goes far beyond cleansing. It must have nourishing, healing, therapeutic value. Large "handmade soap" private label manufacturers offer an endless number colors, shapes, and highly synthetic fragranced soaps made from a basic palm-coconut- sunflower-canola-soy formula intended to leave your skin "squeaky clean". It means, washing out the skin's protective oils, leaving the skin subject of all sort of infections which cause iching rashes, sores. Choosing a soap should be given the same importance as we give to our facial creams.
- I formulate Vitae Soaps to address specific skin needs using the same ingredients you will find in high end skin care creams. Raw, pure, unrefined, unprocessed organic ingredients free on any lab-made cosmetic grade dyes, such mica and dioxide or synthetic fragrances. Each and every one soap I formulate is unique in all aspects since the ingredients I use until the intended use for that soap. The colors of Vitae Soaps come either from the natural colors of unrefined oils/butters, or clays, and botanical powders, which are added to the soap not only for colors or textures, but as an active ingredient to nourish and help the skin to heal itself.
- Argan Oil has extraordinary nourish, moisturize properties. This high in omegas 6 an 9 oil is vastly used to deeply nourish and moisturize dry skin, help to heal eczema, psoriasis, acne and sun related skin damage such as sun spots and scaling. Mafura is rich in essential fatty acids and has been shown to have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties due to the presence of Limonoids such as Trichilin A. Its high content of palmitic and oleic acids has anti-oxidant, revitalizing and nourishing properties for the skin and hair.
Although it is still possible to find a few companies having as the therapeutic value of the handmade soaps a priority, handmade artisanal soap-making has been loosing its fundamentals. It is not to be believed that all handmade, either cold or hot processed soap, is created equal. It is not only the method used, but and equally crucial, is the quality of ingredients used to make that soap make a huge difference on the final product. ***************** * Handmade using organic/wild harvested, raw, unrefined ingredients and Organic Essential oils.
