Used for years, love it! Great for travel too.
I’ve been using this stuff for years and I love it! I was a Robert Craig hair color user for a long time, and when that was no longer available I had to find something else. This works. I might even like this better. It is not the same as drugstore or salon products, so you can’t expect the same consistency in the mix - this is more watery when mixed because, as the label says, you mix it with WATER. You have to shake it VERY well.I LOVE that this stuff has absolutely no smell and I can throw a couple packets of this and my hair color bottle in my carryon to touch up my hair anywhere I travel. The packets are so small they take up practically no space in my bag. As dry powder it doesn’t affect the liquid limit for airline carryons. How I use it: every 2-3 months I get my highlights touched up and I bring 3 boxes of this with me for the color. (I have butt length hair and a lot of it.) My hair guy is fine with this. He does my usual highlights then colors my hair with this. It works great. I get the same color results I would get with salon color products. The color has to sit on the hair 45 minutes to fully set and cover greys. In between salon visits, I basically use a packet of this as a toner in the shower every 2-3 weeks to refresh my color and cover my grey roots. It works. I just mix it up, wet my hair, apply mainly to my roots and then down the length in the shower, and let it sit while I shave. Rinse, shampoo and condition as normal. This keeps my color looking good while letting me go longer between salon colors.I use the red and it will stain fabric, so avoid getting it on any fabric. I have a white fabric shower curtain liner and I just wash that with bleach to remove my hair color stains. This is not extra work because I would wash the shower liner regularly anyway.Overall I like using this product better than any ”normal” hair color I ever used, and I used a lot of them before I switched to powered hair colors. I hated the horrid smell of “normal” hair dye and it regularly gave me headaches. Plus my hair feels nicer with this than it ever did with “normal” hair dyes. This is not damaging to the hair. I hope they never stop making this stuff and never change it!!! I will seriously use it forever if I can get it!

Covered my Grey's! But...
This was super easy to use. I love that it colored my grey hair. I should have colored more of my baby hairs and not put oil as it said to use cold cream. I didn't need "cold cream" who uses cold cream. My mom used "cold cream" in the 1980's. I use coconut, almond oil, and Castor oil. I got dye on my arms as my hair is to the middle of my back. It came right of with a wash rag. If you have long hair, you will use all three boxes. I used a color brush and painted my roots to the ends until my entire hair was colored. After 45 min, I rinsed in warm water and washed it with shampoo as it says in the instructions. I was shocked to see my hair color black! My hair color in the photos looks lighter than it really is. It looks black. My hair was as light as the color on the box to begin with. Let's see if it lightens up after a few washes. My hair didn't smell or feel as though i had just colored it. I give it 5 stars for the fact that it covered my grey hairs but had to deduct a star because the color is much, much darker than the photo.

VERY MESSY TO USE
I Do Not Recommend this product. It still leaves you feeling itchy when used. It is a mess trying to use this hair dye. You have to use a whole packet if you want to mix the dye. I tried to use small amounts but you cannot get it mixed right. I have tried this 4 times and have not liked the results. It is a real mess when applying to your hair, and no matter what it never covers all the grey. Brushing in or even rubbing in, it does not give you complete coverage. Ease of use terrible. Mixing not sure what the little measuring cup is for, you have to provide your own mixing dish and plan on throwing it away. Make sure you have an old shirt, old towel, and gloves. I would Not buy this again.

Good coverage; not smelly; gentle on hair
I've been using this product for years because it does not damage my hair, it does not smell, and it has good coverage (even now that I am having grey hairs!).

Hair color
Not only covers my gray beautifully, but also my hair actually feels better and softer after applying it.

Ok
I can't use another brand due to allergies. This is listed as safe for my use. It works but the black was even blacker than my hair. I'll see how this brown black works out. The powder doesn't blend well with water. Can be clumpy or uneven. Need to mix well for a while and keep from splattering it around. I just gotta keep practicing with time. Good thing is the color stays for longer than my previous brand. No odor either.
