THESE ARE THE SIGHTS IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR W/A PRICE SO INEXPENSINVE IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BUT ITS NOT SO BUY SOME NOW!!
well made, well sized, and tightly sprung for quick aquisitioning them into action as well as replacing them back into their stealthy waiting to be used stance laying flat and out of harms way as well as out of my way but up or down these sights are the best fit for my AR/15 set-up with a see through riser placing my scope just above these sights so I can leave them up all the time but prefer to have them in the down position unless SHTF and they need to be in the ready! If you need a good set of back ups or just want a good decent priced well made sights then these are just the sights you want. I went through many sights all of which turned out to NOT be what I wanted and then I came across these sights by FIELD SPORT INC with their lock and spring action and was sold when I saw them but still being pessimistic waited until I recieved them and WOW was I right in buying this set of front/rear flip up spring assisted sights!! They have proved themselves on the range hold their zero and do not flip up when firing as I read in another review. If you over tighten them they will be slow to pop up and not lock back down into place accurately so only tighten until snug using lock-tite and they will be perfect!! I cant stress how well these sights are so all I can say is I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon and say its great when its great, goog when its good and crap is its crap and these are great!! Just remember to not over tighten the sights but snugly tighten using lock-tite to keep them set and you too will be amazed at how great a full set (front AND rear) of well made sights can be bought and sold so inexpensivley.I use the word inexpensive because these are not cheap they are inexpensive. Cheap means crappy get what you pay for kind of stuff but inexpensive means well made great product sold at an unbelievable price. I wish I knew how to upload pics of the sights on my AR/15 to this review so you can see what Im raving about and why you too should not wait to buy these but pull that trigger and get a set or two or three for your selves now!!!

So far, so good
I took the chance on these sights because they looked well constructed in the online photo and because they mount with a hex screw and not the usual huge knob that most inexpensive sights use. And, with 7 out of 8 reviews giving good comments, it seemed like a low risk purchase. I had already sent some Barska flip up sights back because of the size, knobs and non-spring assist flip up.I received these yesterday and inspected them. They are not Diamondhead, MI, Yankee Hill or Troy absolute quality but they are solidly built, have a good finish and have a low profile of about 0.5" when down. They came lubricated and a push of the release button allows a positive snap up to a locked position. I am going to spray them down with some CLP and then re-lubricate them before installation just to make sure there is no assembly crud on the hinge surfaces. These are by far the best looking, solid functioning flip up BUIS for the price that I have seen anywhere online. I highly recommend them. If they fall apart on the range next time I go, I will report back and eat my crow pie.02/18/2013 ETA: After continued examination of the rear sight, I do notice that the large aperture appears to be drilled incorrectly. Peep sight apertures usually present a tapered hole to the eye. This sight presents the flat side to the eye. If the dual aperture is removed and "flipped", the small aperture would then present the flat side. I contacted GRG about this and was informed that "That is how our sights work." and an offer to take them back if I was not satisfied. I am keeping them. I cannot find any better sights for this price range.

They fell apart before I even got to use them.
I these on one of my ARs in 223 and apparently the recoil shoot the thing apart. The button that pops them up shook loose and the "nut" that holds them together was lost. This happened before I ever got to use them. If you buy these I would recommend some loctie.

Good cheap metal BUIS
These are economical and do the job. As shown they are for a flat top that is level, including the gas block. If you have a lower gas block and mount the front sight on it, you will need a set with a higher front sight. The front sight on my set was stiff and I had to use some oil to get it going. When deployed, they lock into place, but have some side to side slop. When locked down, they stay down even after dozens of rounds fired. I was able to zero mine at 100 meters with minimal adjustment. The front sight elevation adjustment can be done with a small flat screwdriver to depress the pin, then rotating the post with a finger. The windage is adjusted on the rear sight. I even took shots at 300 meters and managed to place a group on letter size target sheet. I found the 0 to 200 meter rear sight peep did not align with the 300 meter plus peep sight. The base also protrudes sideways a fair bit from the picatinny rail.

Good for the price
I must note as a disclaimer that I have not used these at the range yet, so it's possible that this review may be premature. I will amend this review if my opinion changes. The good: The design and the fit-and-finish are very good, and they seem to fit tightly on my Picatinny rail, co-witnessing perfectly with my EOTech 512. They flip-up nice and smoothly with a light push of the button on the side. And, of course, the price-point is excellent compared to brand-name back-up iron sights. The bad: There is no paperwork, instructions, warranty, etc. what-so-ever included in the packaging; this is not really a big deal, but someone new to firearm use and safety may find this to be a problem. The other issue: although the front sight is completely tight, the rear sight has a fairly large amount of "play" or "wobbliness" when in the locked "up" position; the amount of play is acceptable for a low-cost iron sight (that is only used as a back-up to a red-dot), but I would still prefer that this wobble didn't exist at all.

Decent cheap aluminium backup sights.
Front sight locks upright tightly, rear has some wiggle. Clicks seem positive, but aren’t super tight. Rear sight cannot be folded flat unless large apperture is selected. Chamfer on small aperture seems to be backwards, it faces you, when it should face away.

a good deal
Finally, something cheap that works as advertised. Rear is a little wonky as the small peep sits up when stowed but they do work and are cheap.
