Internal plastic piece breaks after 6 months. **Updated**
Internal plastic piece broke into several pieces after using this grinder almost every day for the past 6 months. I loved this grinder because it is consistent and precise when you dial in your ground size. The grinder also fit perfectly into my AeropressĀ AeroPress Coffee MakerĀ for storage. I'm currently writing this review without having my morning coffee. It is a sad day... Time to see if I can find replacement parts. In my opinion the whole thing should be metal except the ceramic spurs obviously.**Update**I contacted EcoGrinder via email and they replaced the two broken plastic pieces immediately and without fuss. This company respects you as a customer and does an amazing job making their product one of the best out there.

Great manual for on the occasional cup or travel
This is an awesome little grinder. Everything you've read about it being easy to change a huge range of grind, conical ceramic burr grinder, super simple to take on the go, slides inside your aeropress (loosely, so you have to wrap or rubber band it, plus make sure you have the handle, which is not attached, along). Now here's where I differ from most reviews:This is not an everyday grinder.I practically have carpal tunnel & hand grinding takes forever. Maybe my caffeine needs are higher & I try to grind twelve times as much coffee but I'm definitely looking for an electric burr grinder. Also, those claims that you can grind right into your Aeropress? B.S. Technically you can. But an Aeropress has a circumference of about 8", the grinder, about 6". You try keeping everything steady & not rattling around. To get a really good grind from this you need a firm hold of the body. Not happening within the Aeropress.Take this camping. Take it on a business trip and skip the crap complimentary coffee. Use it for one cup, an espresso, or ice coffee.Grinding more beans than you need for that --I'm not joking I had "trigger finger" and tendinitis. But for what it is, comparably to another hand burr grinder, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

My coffee game has never been better
This paired with a kettle and a french press. Mind. Blown.Let me tell you a story about how I got here.It all started when i was in college. I hated the coffee at our dining hall. Was watery and tasted terrible. I am pretty sure they brewed it once a week and kept it boiling all week. I thought, there is no way to make this coffee better. So, i went against school rules and bought me a mr. Coffee drip coffee maker. This coffee maker was hands down, 10x better than D Hall coffee.I thoughI was pretty hot stuff with my travel mug of "expensive" folgers coffee. I could see the jealousy on everyone's face.Anyway, this was around the time that the kuerig coffee makers started to become mainstream. (Which to my dismay, were allowed in the dorms) I knew that i would get caught one day with my Mr. Coffee setup, as my neighbors told on us pretty much daily. I went to the store and picked out the middle of the road kuerig and a box of fancy k cups. This was a huge mistake. At first, I thought it was the best coffee i had ever made. I am pretty sure this is because i blew 1/4 of my rent on this thing and was in denial. A few weeks went by, and I couldn't stand it. I was basically brewing 3 small cups of coffee every morning because the big cup was water. Now i was at a loss. I couldn't have my Mr coffee, keurig was awful and need my caffeine. Enter French press. I had been against this because it was "too much work", but i was desperate. I bought my french press and some bulk coffee on the coarse setting as i had researched this for some reason. I used my kuerig as an instant hot water kettle, which worked rather well. Probably the best use for the kuerig at this point. I made my coffee, and waited in anticipation. I figured, meh might be as good as my mr. Coffee, maybe. I poured my coffee and took a drink. ............ WOAH! This is the best f%#$in coffee I have ever had.My new found love for this french press made me a real coffee snob. I wouldn't have coffee if i couldn't make it in my french press. I would go without if i had to. I decided my kuerig was better off in the box, in the back of the closet thay i never went to, than in my kitchen. Bought a kettle big enough to fill the press. Then, Ihad an brain blast. What if one could grind the coffee beans minutes before brewing the coffee. No more weird, dry, end of the bag coffee for this guy. I scoured the internet for a grinder. This little fella was on the Amazon home page. Umm, jackpot! This is one fantastic grinder. It grinds up a full reservoir in about 2 minutes or less. Enough time for the kettle to get the water almost ready. I sit in eager anticipation, waiting for my decadent coffee.TL:DR Buy the coffee grinder, and make your life happy like OP. Life is too short for bad coffee. Treat yo' self!Don't judge my editing. I wrote this on mobile.

Company has ignored a couple of contact requests
Loved this grinder when I first got it, after a few months, the burr cracked making the grinder unusable. Contacted the company, they responded by informing me that the burr was not replaceable due to a product redesign, so they replaced the entire unit, and I was quite satisfied. Received the new unit and was very careful to make sure I was only grinding coffee beans, no pebbles or anything else. About 9 months later, the burr on the new unit cracked, the picture of that burr is what I attached. I sent an email directly to the company prior to Thanksgiving, never heard back from them. Right after Christmas, I sent a request through Amazon to the company, it has been two weeks now, still haven't heard back from them. I wanted to wait a while since holidays can be hectic for companies due to extra days off and what not, but my patience is worn thin. I mentioned in the contact through Amazon that I was even willing to pay for the replacement burr, but still no contact from EcoGrinder at all. I am disappointed, when this product works, it works very well, but once the burr cracks, you are done.
