8V CRDLS Rotary Tool

This worked nicely for small grinding jobs, and the occasional rotary saw for a stripped screw. I used it frequently to sand down our dog's nails, it was easier than clipping since both dogs tend to squirm when you restrain their paws. I could have loved the tool, since it was compact, light-weight, and pretty easy to adjust (you needed a wrench to change accessories). The upper end models have a quick release chuck, which I might consider since this tool died on me. It was the charging unit that failed, the tool itself was fine until we could not charge it. Since it is an integrated battery, you can not simply buy new batteries, or a charging station separately.We returned the tool to the Home Improvement store it was purchased from. We had hoped to exchange it (we thought it might simply be a defective unit), but apparently the store is not carrying this model anymore (and that was just 4 months ago). So we think it probably is a poor design since you can't find it in-stock on Amazon either. We will probably consider the upper end model (8220) at this point, since it really is a useful tool to have around the house!
