Good beginner gift
Bought for my 8 year old daughter, she loves it. Not the highest quality materials but good for kids who like science. Some of the covers were scratched but it’s still serves its purpose. Came with a couple samples to look at. We did a water test and could see microorganisms swimming around. The light is a bit bright but it comes with adjustable filters to help or you could use the mirror in natural light to reflect up into the scope. The phone attachment takes some maneuvering to see through, not very stable but still works once you line it up. Over all, if you just want to give the kids or even yourself something to do or experiment with, I’d say it’s worth it.

Eye for detail
I was going to Texas to visit my nephew and thought long and hard about what to get him. I wanted something that was fun and educational and this was that sweet spot. The phone hookup makes it extra awesome as he can see things under there on a big screen rather than be glued or confined to a small eye hole.I'd highly recommend this and is a great educational gift!

Gift for Seven Year Old Nephew
Random sharp razor blade included but unlisted. I figured it was for clipping specimens but frankly, it had no place in a child's kit, especially when even the scalpel is plastic. I removed the blade and gifted it. So far no complaints.

Playschool set 💩
Very cheap plastic and will not hold a phone. It does magnify but that’s it the other stuff that comes with it is all playschool crapppppp!!!!!

Forced to look at magnified boogers, at least we're learning!
My son loves his microscope. It is perfect for beginners! It is nice because to the kids, it seems like a real microscope. It does not have a toy look to it. My son feels like a real scientists now!

Info on package is different than product
I'm changing my review because I noticed that the package is for 900x but the microscope inside is 1200x. I attempted to fix and see if it works but couldn't.

Disappointing Product
This product was more flimsy and cheap than I expected it to be. Also, I find it hard to believe that the magnification is truly what they advertise it to be.
