Very inferior product
Terrible— mostly gravy/sauce and not enough chickpeas. And much too spicy!!

Quick, Easy, and Tasty!
I have been trying to eat less ramen. This product is just as fast and easy, and it may even be tastier. You can't expect restaurant-quality food, but you can expect a great taste relative to the amount of time it takes to make.I usually use flavorful brown rice, some sriracha, lots of black pepper, and a little bit of salt. One pack usually provides 2 servings for me (with lots of brown rice).PS: If you are microwaving this, either cover the chickpeas with the rice (my preferred method), or make sure to use a microwave cover!

Pretty great basic Chana Masala
Not bad, not incredible. A fine basic Chana Masala. A good quick cheap lunch option when I don't want to spend $12 on a meal. Pretty filling to boot.

Not very good Chana Masala
This is not as good as the Chana Masala (or Chick Pea Curry as they call it) packaged and made by Kitchens of India. I prefer that style of Chana Masala over this kind any day. This doesn't have the rich flavor, and it doesn't have that light sweetness you need.

Great Product
My local Indian grocery ran out of these which was a big suprise. Then I found them online and ordered them here. I like to dump this ontop of two baked potato's.

Spicy
Good flavor, easy to prepare, but a little too spicy for me. I added some chicken and that cut down the heat.

Pretty good for a packaged food.
First thing first, I rarely ate packaged food (exceptions to cookies, chips, etc). Why, because my wife makes best Indian food and I don't have to look anywhere else.My wife and kid are planning a trip to India for few months, so I thought I should get used to these kind of packaged food. Chana Masala is one of my fav food so I thought I will give this one a try and so purchased one trial pack from the Indian grocery store. I had heard about MTR brand before, but never tried it.After cooking it in the microwave for 2 minutes, I was expecting a bad smelling food that I will have to push down my throat which is the usually the case with other brands. Boy was I surprised. It did not have that bad "packed" food smell. It smelled good and I was ready to eat.The taste is good, the texture of chana (chickpeas) is good as well. Not to hard and not too soft. I would say it is done very well. The masala (gravy) is slightly on the chilly side, i.e. it is not hot but it tastes like a there is too much chilli. I am sure, if you add little bit of garnishing like cilantro or chopped onions or lime to make it tangy will make this even better. My fav combination with Chana Masala, is Chana-Masala + Basmati Rice + plain yogurt.Over all I am really happy that a real Indian flavor (or as close it can get) is in the packaged food. I am gona order more.I gave 4 star because, the "red chilli flavor" was bit stronger that for liking but otherwise this is really a good food.
