Great pens!
I am a nurse, which sometimes equates to “pen snob”. I have repeatedly purchased these as they write amazingly well! You won’t be disappointed!

Smooth writing experience, best ballpoint pen I’ve used
I’m someone who LOVES stationery: pens, paper, sticky notes, anything. So I’ve tried a ton of pens, from popular to cheap ones, and this is one of the best ballpoint pens I’ve ever used. I’ve been writing with them for a few weeks now, and I don’t think I can see myself purchasing different ballpoint pens in the future. Of course, I’ll use a random, crappy ballpoint stick pen if I need to, but I won’t be spending money on those for myself. The Uni-ball Jetstream writes so smoothly, not just on high-quality fountain pen paper but on cheap lined paper literally from the 99 Cent Store. The pen doesn’t skip or stop working when I’m writing — it genuinely feels like it glides right across the page. I’ve used the 0.38mm version before as well, and since it’s a finer pen nib it can feel a little scratchy across the page at times, but the 0.5mm size is perfect. It’s fine enough for me to write small while still being legible but still has that great tactile feel from a smooth, thicker pen nib.I’ve read that the 0.7mm size has the smoothest writing experience, but I chose the 0.5mm version based on personal preference. There are lots of other pens that are much cheaper and in bulk, but if you’re planning on buying some ballpoint pens just for yourself, not an office or a group, then you should definitely get the Uni-ball Jetstream. They are so worth it!

One of the last pens you'll ever need.
I'll admit it right now. I'm a pen snob. I'm also left handed and write really small. There are few things during my day that irritate me more than writing notes and then going back to read them and realize that I've smeared it all over the page. Don't even get me started on the irritation when my hand gets all of the extra ink the page didn't. These pens fit the bill on every aspect. They have a seamless, smearless line that's very fine and allows for tight clean letters. Not only can I read all of my meeting notes, but my handwriting looks better than ever. I now have my whole office addicted to these pens as well the Pilot Juice. Buy both of these pens and never buy another crappy pen again.

These are amazingly high quality and precise ink pens. I hardly believe that they aren't actually gel pens.
I have used Japanese import Pilot Juice gel pens, and the Japanese import Uni-ball gel pens, manufactured by Mitsubishi, and absolutely loved them. They were superior to any gel pens I purchased in the USA. But after trying these ballpoint pens, I admit I am hooked. These are really great pens!.I purchased this value pack of the uni-ball jetstream extra fine point pens. I ended up giving four to my mother, so I purchased another ten pack. You see, I like them that much. While these are ballpoints, the pens are made with such precision that they managed to achieve as sharp and precise of a line as an extra fine tip gel pen. However, since they are ballpoints, these pens do not smear easily at all. The ink seems to last longer than any gel pen I've used. The only drawback – and I'm still giving this five stars – is that the ink is not an intense black. But it is a ballpoint, and I have never seen black ballpoint ink that was as intensely jet black as a gel pen. The ink is dark enough, however, for all of my uses.Writing using this ink is a real pleasure, and I plan on stockpiling on a bunch of these, enough to last me for some years. my experiences with this ink pen have been entirely positive. I don't know what it is about the Japanese and ink pens, but I'm pretty jealous of them. Their market gets much better pens than we typically do in America. If you're looking for a fine line, and a precise writing instrument, why not give these a try.

Amazing!
Love this pen! Just like everyone else said it’s such a nice smooth pen with no smear. It glides as you’re writing. I’m a nurse and there are times when I need to write fast and when I do I can still go back to my notes later and understand my writing. It’s also perfect for those very small to write places in documents.

I work for a police department which uses thermal paper in our patrol vehicles to issue citations/warnings/reports/etc. Each ticket I issue requires several copies to be printed, which I must pen in certain fields and sign. The person I'm issuing the ticket to must also sign one copy to acknowledge receipt. This leads to smeared ink over all copies. This is especially true when it comes to the copy I get back from the person. They tend to scribble their signature then quickly hand it over to me. If they don't smear it then I most likely will because I'm more concerned with being aware of my surroundings than ensuring I don't touch the ink. With that in mind I decided to hunt out the best pen I could find to write on our thermal paper with as little smearing as possible with a very short dry time. The requirements were simple: least amount of smearing with minimal time to set, black, and a click pen.My test was pretty basic. I would sign my rank, first initial, last name, and star number out, count to "2-one-thousand" then run my finger across it.Best pen I could find?BIC Soft Feel Ball Pen (http://a.co/agJkJdY)Pens which smeared more (no order):BIC Atlantis Original, Comfort, & ExactUni-Ball Jetstream .380 & .5Uni-Ball Vision RTPilot G-2 05, 07, & 0.38Paper Mate InkJoy Gel 0.7 & 0.5Paper Mate InkJoy 200 RT 1.0MRite In The RainMaybe one day I will take a clean scrap of the thermal paper we use to post a picture, but for now you'll just have to take my word for it.That said, aside from my very specific requirement this pen is still a decent pen.
