Disappointed
I have the smaller version of this and it's excellent. I wanted one with a battery life (when bluetooth was enabled) as long as my earbuds (7hrs), so I got this - the bigger screen means bigger battery. In settings, some of the options have a 'save' button, with 'save' written in Chinese - oops! The larger screen also means list items are more widely spaced, which is a bonus, although there are only 4 playlists available. The equalizer options are the same as the smaller version, and are really good, but the equalizer is bypassed when on bluetooth. Since I got this specifically for the extended playtime on BT, this is very disappointing. Otherwise, the sound is great and the extended playtime is phenomenal, easily outlasting the 7hrs my BT earbuds managed. It comes with a screen protector you have to install yourself, which (try as I might) left unsightly bubbles that couldn't be rolled out. Another niggle is the extension SD card. When installed, it pokes out the side of the device where it can easily catch on things (although it does make it easier to remove, but who ever swaps out a 128Gb SD card?)I use my smaller version in the home, where I can recharge it while it is playing, but when I go out I wanted the extended BT playtime the larger device offered. Since the sound isn't as good thru the BT, I can't give this five stars. If you intend to use a wired headset, go for it, just sort your mp3's into folders so you don't have to fiddle with the 4 in-built playlists.

It doesn't play aac/m4a over Bluetooth
I was looking for a new mp3 player (in the general sense of the name) to drive my newly purchased Bluetooth earbuds. I wanted it to be small and light to be able to use it in the gym and when running, therefore replacing my beloved yet discontinued iPod Nano, which is known for producing low volume over Bluetooth. I was actually looking for alternatives that were not necessarily this cheap, but surpringly it seems that there are no well-known makes for mp3 players any more. So I went ahead and bought this one because it was small enough, had Bluetooth 5.0 which should have ensured the best connection since my earbuds are also 5.0. It turns out that it doesn't play acc/m4a files over Bluetooth, only over wired earphones, which is useless for anyone being used to an iTunes library, which has that format as default, or anyone that wants higher quality than mp3 for that matter. Moreover, some of my actual mp3 files didn't have good quality at all. At low volumes it wasn't very noticeable but as soon as you turned it up you could hear the audio distorting significantly. I think this only happened over Bluetooth, but I think is still unacceptable for an mp3 player that is supposed to reproduce audio over Bluetooth. And in case you are wondering whether it had to do with my earbuds, no, it wasn't the case as they sound great on my phone, I just don't want to carry my phone when excercising. In the end, I am using my iPod Nano which, although doesn't play as loud as my phone, it isn't that much of a problem with noice cancellation, the quality is excellent and is light and small, and of course I can play my entire music library seemlessly. I may look into a reliable alternative in the future, but only after I try it first, I don't want to have the same issue I encountered with this product.
