The BooneDOX Landing Gear is a kayak wheel system utilizing receptacles that permanently attach to the top of your boat - wheels attach, deploy, and retract without having to tip the kayak over on its side. The Landing Gear uses solid foam wheels, preventing the possibility of ever going flat. Optional Sand Tire Kit sold separately. The Landing Gear just got "Groovy." With the kayak angler in mind, Boonedox has refined their product to include gear grooves on all sides of the receptacles as well as the center link bar, resulting in 70+ inches of track for attaching rod-holders, safety flags, lights, paddle clips, camera mounts, etc. This stronger, lighter, more-rugged design uses anodized aluminum and stainless-steel components to perform in the most strenuous of environments. Rated for 180lbs. Hobie Outback - This kit will work on ALL Hobie Outbacks. Made in: USA

Overhyped. Very disappointed. Ended up returning it within a few days.
Boondox Lansing fear reviewWhere to begin...* Extremely disappointed with the difficulty of installation. I expected to drill into my boat, but what they don’t tell you up front is that you need to get long metal plates deep inside the hull of your boat for reinforcement, which is damn near impossible for any DIYers.* They literally ship you this thing in pieces and provide a joke for instructions. Paragraph of text that doesn’t even explain all the pieces. They say visit their site for videos, which don’t exist. The only help is by people who figured it out on their own and uploaded YouTube videos about it. The quality of the build looked solid, but it was an insult and a red flag that you pay nearly $300 for this product and they don’t tell you how to build it.* My boondox landing gear came with one of the wheel arms jammed in the “knuckle” as they call it. Almost broke it trying to dislodge it.* The wheels that came with my particular landing gear don’t match what’s in the product photos here. They aren’t rubber, they’re a hard plastic that feels slightly rubberized. The same exact wheels that come with the c-tug cart, which is over $100 cheaper. If I wanted plastic wheels I would have bought that other wheel cart. The pins that hold the wheels on feel oddly designed to me, I feel like they won’t last long.* The most disappointing thing for me was how hyped some YouTube channels make this product seem. Due to the editing of the videos I saw, I was under the impression that you could quickly lower and raise the wheels while in the boat, with some sort of a lever device. The fact is that you actually have to manually pull each wheel arm off, reposition it, and then slide is back in place in the desired position. You have to do this for each wheel. It’s a clumsy nightmare and takes longer than just sliding a cheap kayak cart under the boat and going.Overall, the build feels sturdy, and I appreciate the attempt. But the lack of help, price, and the reality of the functionality made me return it. I bought a cart that was $200 cheaper and it saved me a ton of time.

Kayak Convience
Boonedox landing gear is the only way of transporting any of my kayaks that I will consider. Reasonably easy to mount and dismount. Absolutely minimizes time spent either launching or recovering your kayak.

Easy installation
My husband fishes a lot of kayak tournaments and he said this has made transporting his kayak much easier.

Assemble everything to drill the kayak
I have a 2019 Jackson kayak cruise FD The product is awesome instructions suck just look it up on YouTube. Use a strong string or wire to pull the rod in place to set the first screw in the kayak everything else will fall in place

Works great for boats with out a system already
Installed on my pelican catch 130. Awesome addition . A little heavy. But universal kitts usually are.
