I bought the amber version for use as bug lights on my new home. I live in the swamps of Florida, so doing all one can to diminish the presence of flying insects is critically important when you're using outdoor lights.BLUF: with these amber LED lights, there doesn't seem to be any more in the way of bugs around the lights than there are at other places on the house. They work.As to the brightness: these lights aren't very "bright", but they produce a whole bunch of light. This is as expected, and how they should be. The reason is that these produce nearly monochromatic light at a roughly 590nm wavelength, basically the exact same as the yellow low pressure sodium lights used at the beach or near an observatory. The amber light these produce is a dark orange when diffused over long distances. This gives the strange effect of allowing you to see clearly, but making the area seem dark but also well illuminated. These preserve night vision well, and can cast clear shadows several hundred feet away.Please forgive my rambling review, I am simply quite pleased with these bulbs. For people at the beach or who live in the woods and want to keep your tranquility, you CAN NOT go wrong with these.I will be buying an entire stockpile of these.

Strong, Solid, BRIGHT and as advertised... even if their is some difference between specs on box vs. specs on Amazon or something [?] - THIS BULB ROCKS! and i've nothing bad to say about OUYIDE as a reseller [of course it's made in PROC]Unsure about the color spec / warmth [?] being right to deter all bugs but so far so goodThis is used outside on the front porch and does it job well... time will tell about lifespan duration.Recommended for places needing BRIGHT yellow light with a standard fixture size

These are large bulbs. They will not fit in a fixture with a traditional glass covering over the bulb. But they look great just exposed or you will need a large light fixture with plenty of space for the bulb. It's longer and a little wider than a traditional bulb. However, it fits the standard base where it screws in. I can't provide a star rating for "longevity" due to the limited time I've had the bulbs, about 3 or so months. In performance, these hit a home run.

These bulbs are HUGE! Nice, bright, lighting but I kept shopping for light fixtures that could accommodate them for a small front porch and just ended up returning them as I didn't want to install ginormous fixtures in such a modest space. In the right setting, these could be great - just remember that they're very large bulbs.

I bought these in June, 2019. They didn't seem as bright as the equivalent wattage they claimed. Now two of them have died within a week of each other nine months later. Other brands I have used tend to last 2-3 years.

Like the brightness. Dislike the length of bulb.

Didn't work with the dusk to dawn lantern.
