Fun Starter Drone - Heartbreak Update ðŸ˜
UPDATE 1/4/2020:I bought this drone for my husband for Christmas. He wrote the original review after receiving. He registered the drone with the FAA for the next 3 years. He had a friend over yesterday and wanted to show it off. He read all instructions, calibrated properly before each use, and has flown it many times. He put it up in the air, started to fly it, and it took on a mind of it's own. He pushed the return button and it hesitated. The machine no longer wanted to be confined and controlled by humans. It hovered in the air and my husband tried his hardest to convince it to come back. The drone started going as far as it could as fast as it could. We live in a very rural area in Amish Country which has many inaccessible wooded areas. Upon realizing the drone was moving farther and farther away, refusing to listen to the direction of its human handler, my husband and his friend proceed to run down the street, chasing the drone. The last image my husband received was the drone flying off over the trees pretty far down the way, lights long past his line of sight. We've searched the area to no avail and have had many embarrassing knocks on our Amish neighbors doors requesting permission to search their property for the rogue drone. It was never to be seen again. I bought my husband a $200 drone "experience" for christmas, and a memorable story to tell. Leaving the 4 star review because he loved it and maybe it was a user error... but beware, heartbreak was the Christmas gift this year.Original 12/25/2019:Been playing with this nonstop for a week. I love it, It took some time to get used to, so it took a few bumps and bruises but held up great against the walls in my house and the tree limb!Fun little drone, picture quality is very good. Easy to use and get used to.

Good Drone, under FAA limit, 100 meters limitation, OK photos
Overview: Good Drone, under FAA limit, 100 meters limitation, OK photosFirstly, this weighs 238 grams on my kitchen scale, not 280 grams. So it is under the FAA limit.Video is 3840 × 2160 MP4. Photos are 3840 × 2160 at about 13-14 MB PNG through the phone. They are 2048 × 1152 and 2048 × 1152 at about 190 KB when saved to the SD card (with an SD card in, it won’t save to the phone). As with the other mid-price drones I tried, camera quality is not as good as a point and shoot camera, but this is pretty much the best I’ve found under $200. The ultra-wide angle lens means that the photos resolution is spread along a wide picture, and the photos and videos show a substantial fish-eye effect. There is a slot for internal storage (SD) hidden in the battery compartment.Instructions are clear and easy, though not very comprehensive. There is a quick start guide that tells you everything you need to know. Follow Me is OK (don’t try to avoid being followed and it works). Circle around a point is OK, but doesn’t keep the camera pointed right. The map-and-waypoint function is pretty easy to use.I’ve had to calibrate the GPS every time I go to use it, so it takes a extra minute to get set up to go. There is no flight recorder function. This drone is limited to about 100 meters distance. The case with everything comes in at 9.5x9.5x4 inches. Again, the drone with battery is 238 grams. I measured about 68 db of noise at 2 meters away.

Great company support
(EDIT - I was able to email support and they are very responsive. Sent new charger and battery very quickly and the replacement worked as it should. I was contacted about my review and they wanted to make things right and have changed parts suppliers to improve quality).I’ve only been able to fly it one day. Finally got a low wind day 2 months after purchase, ran batteries down and they won’t charge. No place to go for support online that I can find. (There is big light blue print on book for email and they really respond). The drone instructions are contradictory on which way to enter calibration mode and you have to calibrate every time you turn it on (which is a pain, but I guess if it makes it easy to fly, maybe worth it). The WiFi doesn’t transmit a signal most of the time (I updated the iphone to one step newer version and it worked like support said, we’ll see if it is more consistent). I’ve gotten it to work twice, but never able to use when flying (once I got it connected it wouldn’t fly, power down, change battery, no connection/signal). 1 mph wind while flying according to the weather app and drone could barely fly into it at higher altitude (50 ft maybe) and it was carried away by it. There seem to be No instructions on what the blinking light errors are indicating on the drone or the charger -seems to be low battery indicator. Cannot fly drone indoors, needs gps. Features seem nice and controller is nice, easy to fly.

Camera - Quad Copter - Remote - Nice
Purchased the Hukk... drone because I wanted it all for little cost. The ability to fly above the trees..Yes, the ability to take pictures and movies with good semi-decent quality...Yes, the ability to loiter...Yes, flys for more than 10 minutes before needing a recharge...Yes, more than 1 battery...Yes, fly and control the drone up to 1/2 block up and down my street...Yes, return home button...Yes.Here is what it won't do. Naturally, this drone will lose signal to wifi (phone) as it moves away from you. My guess is around 1/2 block. It will also lose signal when blocked by hefty obstacles. After losing signal it will respond with a RTH command. The RTH will send the drone high to avoid trees, loiter for a few seconds, move toward the RTH point and descend. The RTH is the location where it was calibrated and synced with Satellites - Give it a few minutes to sync before flying. Most importantly, this is not a racing drone and has a top speed of 5-8 mph. Fly this on a moderately windy day and try the RTH and you will lose this baby.Overall, it's a nice drone that performs well for someone who wants to play. The blades will not cut your kids' fingers if grabbed while flying (it may sting) so not bad for +14. I would recommend this to all new drone enthusiasts.
