Snowshooze Dillon XL 650 Single Stage Conversion Kit

I wanted to free up some room on my bench but I have a few calibers I load rarely or in small amounts and don't want to buy a conversion kit for.Upon opening the package I was impressed with how well made this kit is. Nice machine work from a US manufacturer which is always a plus. Swapping it in is no more difficult than a normal caliber swap. Using it to load up some belted mags, I noticed right away how much extra room to work in I had compared to the other single stage and turret presses I've used. Plus Dillon is hard to beat when it comes to smooth action and that big ram makes case sizing or forming so easy.The toolholder is a much tighter fit than the standard Dillon but it makes your OAL extremely consistent. I like it so much that I wound up selling my single stage since I doubt I'd ever use it again.All in all, it's a great addition to the 650 plus Snowshooze was easy to deal with and answered my questions right away. He has a few other Dillon upgrades that are worth a look as well.

Despite the capabilities of modern progressive presses, all volume reloaders do require a single stage press from time to time to perform specific tasks such as sizing bullets or swaging primer pockets. However, with reloading bench space at a premium, it is not always convenient to have an extra single stage mounted to the bench. Along comes the Single Stage Conversion provided by Snowshooze. It will be the best upgrade to your machine you've made in a long while.

If you own a Dillon 650 this is a must have item. It is less expensive than a high quality single stage press and takes up less bench space. The plate took some minor filing to make fit in the press. To me this is a good thing. If the plate was made to the same specs as the Dillon plates there would be a minor amount of slop. This plate has absolutely zero slop. The seller also was fast to respond to my questions. If you could use it, buy it. You wont regret it.
