I had to buy the wrong item first to become more familiar with how battery heated apparel are sized. Since many are imported, they might be sized smaller for Asians. To say those do not measure up is putting it lightly. For sure, Ororo products are provided in American standard sizing measurements. First I measured my chest which was 2XL, and then measured my stomach which is bigger than my chest, so I ordered the 3XL instead and the vest I received two days later fits me perfectly. I didn't see any apparel sized bigger than 3XL, but with my stocky build, 4XL could even be a consideration if available. Those who stand over 75 inches tall however, are not likely to find an Ororo garment that fits. Not yet anyway. That's too bad because these excellent jackets and vests are made of heavyweight premium materials that provide excellent protection from the cold even without the heating elements energized. Really comfortable when heated.The Ororo batteries are excellent! You can purchase Ororo apparel with or without a battery and charger, but you must use only Ororo products. The batteries are flat and when placed in the provided pocket will not interfere with anything. Much better than the large cubical batteries of some other brands. When positioned in the pocket, the Ororo battery is hardly even noticeable, about the same as carrying a phone. And of course, you can feel the heat when the battery is still supplying power to the heating elements.How long will the batteries supply power?Ororo is on target when stating how long one of their 5200mAh batteries will remain charged. I ordered an extra battery since the highest heat setting will discharge the battery in about three hours. When wearing my Ororo vest however, I discovered that the low setting will keep me adequately warm and comfortable for ten or more hours. Medium setting lasts about six hours. Just look at the button and the bright LED color indicates the heat level it is currently working at. It takes a little over six hours to charge a completely depleted battery.You can be assured that Ororo sells high quality products for the right price. In fact, my first order was the least expensive item, when at the time a full-length jacket was on sale for not much more than the price of my order. Regretfully I had to pass that coat up because I already have several jackets, and a vest provides a little more versatility when worn under one of them. That will also hide the bright LED which may be favorable in certain situations.Ororo is continually improving and adding more efficient products to their excellent product lineup.Ororo products are HOT, and too good to pass up. Winter is just beginning and there will be more chances of cold weather ahead so keeping a charged up heated vest or jacket readily available just may be what gets you thru a freezing cold and dangerous situation. Ororo even packs this vest into its own zipper bag to make it easier to carry in your car. An adapter that fits into a car's lighter socket is also available for when necessary to charge an Ororo battery while on the go.

I received one as a gift a few years ago & decided to buy another one gift to my father for Christmas. They are fantastic. Great for those chilly days tailgating, running errands or doing outdoor lawn work. We both love them.

I wear this under a riding shirt to commute on my Harley with ape hangers. I only use it on the lower setting and the riding shirt with the armor keeps the heat inside and all over my back and chest. Battery lasted the whole week only using it for about 45 minutes to an hour. I didn’t feel cold at all on 49° and the vest is so thick that you won’t have to turn it on if you are on high 50°s or lower 60s. You’ll be sweating with this vest. You might need an extra battery if you are planning on using it all day outdoors in colder temperatures. UPDATE: Battery pack failed after 2+ months. The battery pack which is the newer version, does not hold charge. I noticed it discharged it self even if it has almost full charge, making it useless. Im not sure if i have a faulty battery or all of them are the same. The battery itself it’s expensive and i don’t know if buy a new one or not due to this problem. I’ll check with customer service to see what can be done about it. Also the vest shuts off after a few minutes in the high setting. I’ll update back if anything changes

I purchased this for my Son-in-Law, for his birthday. Getting ready for deer hunting season. The fit was perfect & it also came with a recharging cord, which I had purchased sepwrately, as I thought it was not included. It was tho!! Yay!! He loved it!

I just bought a second one so we both have one. They are not bulky. They are easy to charge and the battery lasts quite a while. When I am not using it I unhook the battery to hold the charge. Great for those of us with arthritis in the back and shoulders as well.

I love this vest for cold days during archery season. Instead of all those extra layers I had to wear, this eliminates the extra bulk! Plus it is great for cold days/nights sitting by a campfire to take away the chill. I use mine on low for 8+hrs and it still has bars left on the battery when I get back to the house. All my camping friends own one so now I do and I love it!

My husband recently beat cancer and is constantly cold now. He works in a warehouse to boot so the temperature is always on the cooler side in the winter. I purchased this vest in an attempt to keep him warmer during the day. He states it is working fabulously. Watch the battery life though! He wants it set on high all day but the battery will only last about 3 hours or so at that level. I believe on low it will last closer to 10 hours. It has been a great purchase and is keeping him warm!
