I have shopped around and this was the best value for me. I have two male bettas, and the small divided bowl they recommended from the pet store were making them sick fast. They improved fast in these tanks. I put marbles and large glass stones in the bottom, so waste can settle below where the fish rests. I run the filters about an hour a day and they circulate the water well enough for debris to get pulled up and out of the rocks. I also have live plants growing in the tank which need some of the fish waste to be healthy.Lights are really nice and haven't had any issue yet with moisture or leds burning out. The paperwork that comes with the tank shows how to order additional light units in case they do go out, and prices are very reasonable.Drawback is that the filter is SILENT. I have to set a reminder to turn them off after an hour or so. Bettas don't care for moving water, but the filters help keep the tanks clear and smelling better since they are in an office. These filters work fast to clean and circulate the water, but they don't stress my bettas out too much. One struggles against the current more than the other, but that is just the fish, not a bad filter.If I were using these to house tropical fish, I would invest in a small heater. There are inexpensive versions for this size of tank.These have the filter set up in the cut out portion of the tank, so wires and such are set a little bit away from the corner of the wall. I have mine in the sides of a window cut out at my desk, so the wires are hidden along the posts of the window, and then I see one of the flat sides at my station while a 3 inch panel faces out into the lobby. It is enough to catch attention of kids in the lobby, but not too much for the fish to get stressed with people plastering their faces against the tank or tapping at it. The fish tend to hide behind the window posts when people are too close, and then venture out again when the coast is clear.

I read all the reviews and was hesitant but me and my beta Betty could not be happier. I bought Betty from my local pet supply store with a 1/2 gal kids tank knowing we needed a larger tank. This 2 and a half gal. tank fits small areas well like my tiny kitchen next to my nespresso. I only use the blue light because betas like low light. Have no problems with filter... water level should be high to dampen bubbles. I think I got the new model because this lower profile lid fits well and does not need modification to fit filter and a heater. I know some people will think this too small for these fish but Betty seem so happy in her home, loves her worms and pellets and plays in her hiding spots!

Nice little tank for the price. But I would suggest getting the power cord (separate purchase) for the light as the battery operated feature does not work. Light will just go back out in a minute.

I love this tank! I wasn't sure reading all the comments but it was just what I was looking for. I have a regular goldfish that was won from a Fair. I was looking to upgrade him & this tank is the perfect size. Big enough for him to have enough room to swim around but no too big for just 1 fish. I love the design, instead of a basic triangle (that it looks like in the photo) the sides come out a little bit too for more of a hexagon shape? It looks great pushed up against a wall with the corner facing out. Perfect for in our hallway. The filter is a little strong but it looks like my fish just needed some time to adjust, he's doing great with it now. I actually think he likes swimming through the current. The lighting is a little bit of a pain having to click through all of the options to turn it off each time but it's not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with this tank & it looks great in our house. And such a great price. My fish seems to be very happy in his new home!

I was nervous about ordering the tank after reading about some of the mishaps that others had have, but the size was right for the price, so I purchased the tank anyways.The tank itself is sturdy, I've dropped it a few times during tank cleans without anything happening to it. The lid fits on securely, even after cutting out the two slots for the filter, included, and a heater that I purchased as well. The light is pleasant, the multiple settings give Nude, the betta, a different atmosphere everyday while I'm in class.UPDATE:Now that I've owned the tank for almost a year, I had to replace the pump that was included, not only was it too strong for my betta, but after a few months it started working intermittently then stopped altogether. Hello. I gotta say that some of the reviews on here are pretty funny because I totally disagree with quite a few of them that are bashing the tank or the creator. This tank is pretty darn good in my eyes. I received this tank over a month now and I have nothing bad to say about it. A lot of people are saying that the filter is loud and the tank is horribly made or the light is too brite or no space for other fish besides Betta fish. Absolutely not true. First of all, the filter is as quiet as I thought it would be. VERY quiet! And I have 10 neon tetras and 1 albino mini pleco that won't grow much. And they are awesome and happy in the tank. I don't see why people are bashing it. I see no problem what so ever to it!. Amazon did a great job it the delivery as well. Two day shipping at your front door. Packaging was Great!. Hats off to amazon! Great job and Great tank to the creator! 5 stars on my end! And great for your buck

La pecera es mediana, la bomba no es la mejor pero para empezar con tu acuario está bien,el material es algo frágil así que hay que tener cuidado al manipular, se limpia fácil x su tamaño ideal para 2-4 peces pequeños.

Me encantó la pecera, es de buen tamaño e ideal para tener uno o dos peces, lo único malo que noté fue que del lateral venía un poco rayada (no demasiado y se puede pasar por alto) yo supongo debido a que los complementos que vienen con la pecera van dentro de la misma y en los envíos se golpea debido al movimiento, pero de ahí en fuera todo está perfecto.
