Primo Pumps has the best Spray Applicator! It is sturdy and works great attached to your hose. We made the mistake of buying a similar set from a different company, with a spray applicator that looks like the one in the Amazon listing. The spray applicator was stripped and sprayed gel all over us (not the target). Unfortunately, because Amazon is sooo difficult to work with and makes it impossible for sellers to list their products accurately, Primo is not able to show the actual sprayer that they ship in this package deal. I added the picture here of Primo Pumps applicator. Moral of the story: BUY this from PRIMO PUMPS! It may make the difference of you being able to save your house from a fire!

The Line fire forced me to evacuate my home. Before I left, I used this product on my house. Or at least, I tried to.The hose couplings are crap. The coupling between the on/off control and the jug came lose every time I picked it up and back sprayed me. More water hit me than my house. I tightened it up, picked up the jug, and it was lose again.Once the jug was half empty the spray was pure water. Only half the jug got sprayed out. I shook the heck out of it, so that wasn't the problem.So far the flames haven't reached my house. I pray they don't because I don't think I got ANY protection from this product.DO NOT BUY!

Great personal support, even from the inventor and his son.Barricade was recommended to me by a former county fire chief who said, you need this, it works. I’m glad I have it to help protect my home. Hopefully, I’ll never need it.

I'm a volunteer fire chief in California. I purchased 45 cases of barricade gel for my five wildland engines. I personally used them in structure defense during the Cedar Fire in San Diego County in 2003 and saved five homes, I even sprayed a small herd of sheep to save them also. This stuff works extremely well and is battle tested. But you need to be mindful to periodically shake the bottles to avoid them clumping . I currently have 37 cases from 2017 and stirred them this week with a cordless drill stirring rod and they are still good and loose, ready for action. I highly recommend getting a case of this stuff if you live in a High fire risk zone.

I had 5 gallons of this gel and could not get them to spray when I needed them. The Thomas fire burned through my area and I had about 12 hours to get ready for it. The gel was too thick for the water to spray it on. It had been regularly shook up and was stored indoors. We had tried thinning it out with mineral oil and it didn’t help. I do believe this stuff would help in a wildfire situation but if you can’t get it to spray what’s the point. There needs to be clearer instructions on getting it to work because you likely won’t have time to get ahold of customer service if there is a big fire coming.

This is THE BEST stuff! Stash a home kit in your basement BEFORE the threat of wildfire. If your home is threatened you can apply Barricade Fire Blocking Gel yourself, or even call your local fire department for assistance. Then evacuate knowing your home will be there when you return. This WILL save your home. I have my kit sitting in my garage, and I'm not even in a wildfire zone, but it's still worth it just knowing firsthand how well it works. I believe it is a better investment than any insurance policy. Still waiting for the insurance industry to offer me a discount on my policy for having a Barricade Kit on premises. They should be pushing all of their policy holders to make this purchase.
