Lab-Solvent is a must if you buy Lab Metal
When patching a piece of metal, such as a crack in a boiler, you definitely need Lab-Solvent if you are using Lab Metal to help you with your patch job. The solvent allows you to thin out Lab Metal and brush it on. Lab Metal comes in the form of a thick paste, and without Lab-Solvent is very difficult to work with.

solvent use
A good product when used for what it was intended, but not a good overall use solvent. It was used to thin Lab putty and to clean the surface on which the Lab putty was to be applied.

must have
Without solvent, you're screwed. Use in well ventilated areas away from any flame or heat source. Keep lit well sealed.

It's the right product for my Lab Metal.

Excellent
Using this with the Lab-Metal makes smoothing over metal imperfections very easy. It keeps the Lab-Metal workable. If the Lab-Metal starts to harden then just dip your putty knife or whatever tool you are using for smoothing in the Lab-Solvent and start working the Lab-Metal.

A little dab will do ya!
This is an excellent metal degreaser and paint remover among other uses. I used it for degreasing aluminum to help the paint adhere and remove excesses from any oversprays..

hi temp lab metal
Dont waste your money. This product does hold up for powder coating but is difficult to apply smoothly and almost impossible to feather out like u would bondo. If u just want to use it to fill some rough looking welds before powder coating that's about all its good for. I wouldn't use it for anything other than that. You end up sanding off almost everything you put on any flat surface trying to work it smooth.
