Footage from each venue they performed at.
Music is seamless and great sound! Hit after hit and no talk time, unless the next number was new. Well edited!!

On top of the world
I own many Dixie Chicks CD's and DVD's and proud to say they have a big part in my existing music library. It was terrible how politics could even dominate the music world, especially affecting some of the best performers on the circuit. In addition, the many southern bible thumper radio stations who joined the politics should be ashamed of themselves. Had I lived in the south I would have turned your stations off for good after what you did to these girls. At any rate, I was thrilled with the results of the music rewards ceremony winnings by these ladies. I think the people of our nation have spoken more than once over the past few years how they feel about nasty politics.Great job ladies rising from such a blow to your careers, but I think your fans have demonstrated we are behind you all the way, which is meant to say keep making great music. We buy your music often, think this group is one of the best and wish them continued success. Please don't stop making great music like this album and your others and we won't stop buying it. That's a promise to three of the most talented young ladies we are privilege to have bringing us the best sounds of country on the market.

Different Perspective
I think some of the negative reviews of this DVD are unnecessarily harsh. The way they edited this together was rather inovative. Most concert DVD's are just from one location on any given band's tour. This DVD took video from several arenas from their 2003 tour. This gives the viewer a chance to see glimpses of the Chicks on their entire tour. Not just one city.It might not be the norm, but it is unique and I happen to like it. I also have to give the editing crew kudos for the royal pain it must have been to select from the thousands of clips and edit this thing together they way they did.The negative reviews make it sound like this DVD is confusing and unwatchable. Far from it. This is a very enjoyable DVD with very professional editing. The only weird thing was seeing Natalie's hair change from clip to clip. In one location, it looks like she's wearing a Mohawk. In another, her mascara is so thick, she looks like a punk rocker. But that's okay, cause she's hot in anything she wears. That's also what I like about the Dixie Chicks: their rebelion against the (hick & redneck) masses.

Dixie Chicks Concert Film
First, I am an unabashed, doting fan of the Dixie Chicks--I love their songs, and I love their feisty attitude, their superb musicianship, and of course, their right-on politics and moral courage in the face of hysterical abuse from brainless rednecks...Nevertheless, this concert film was a bit of a bore. The performances are, as always, superb--just seeing these three dynamic, enthusiastic ladies interact joyfully on stage and get down with their fiddle and banjo is a pleasure in itself. But the editing tricks, whereby various clips of performances of each song are spliced together so that the staging and costumes seem to change with each new line, are quite distracting and irritating. I realize that concert films have a limited range of cinematic possibilities, but I would have preferred that each song be recorded all the way through at a given venue, before switching to another. And I would have liked to see the performances interspersed with a few informal shots of these ladies getting on and off tour buses, interacting with crowds, or simply chilling and chatting in the green room before a performance. Instead, the whole video is just one fragmented performance after another. If you want a really good Dixie Chicks video, get their documentary, "Shut Up and Sing," not this one (even though "Shut Up and Sing" lacks complete performances of any of their songs). I hope, however, that someone does a video that blends concert performances with narrative--more like the recent Bob Dylan documentary that Scorsese did.

Chicks live
I love the Chicks, nice set of great songs. The songs are performedflawless, the sound and harmonies are spot on.The reason why I give it 3 stars are:1) Not much stage banter, some of the charm of the Chicks is on DVD's or live specials they show their warmth and sense of humour. They tendto razz each other and joke a bit which is refreshing. This brings themto the fan level where they don't portray themselves as "stars" but the people next door who most likely would come for a BBQ.This disc does not convey that.2)The band does not stretch far on it's arrangements, many are are very close to the studio version. That does not make it bad, just my preference for live mujsic is for the band to "go off road" and work out some jams. But that may not be the Chicks. So it's a solid disc and quality Chicks overall.

Can't Afford a Concert Ticket?
10 July 2006 Well, folks, the BEST way to see the Dixie Chicks in Concert when you just can't afford to be there in person is to either go to the library to see if they've got a copy of this DVD concert, OR go to a New & Used music store like Rasputin's & pick yourself up a copy, take it home, make your favourite popcorn recipe, grab a beverage, turn your cellphone low (JUST DON"T ANSWER FOR ONCE!!), slide the DVD in & press "PLAY". And sit back, or lounge back & treat yourself to a Most Marvelascious Concert with the Dixie Chicks! Playing along on your (or someone's) guitar isn't mandatory, though I had a blast doing just that! C'mON!!! Relax & TREAT YOURSELF! You KNOW you NEED it & Deserve it!

dixie chicks top of the world tour
This is a very wild and exciting concert dvd format, so If you think you'll be nodding off at all, forget it... because each song is a mix of cameraq shots from different tour stops, so you will have maybe a half dozen outfit changes during each song, not to mention camera angles that change every couple of seconds, so don't blink.... but despite the frantic mode of shooting I really did enjoy the show because the singing and the music is impeccable, as usual.. This is one I like to put on when I want to just listen and occasionally glance at otherwise the constant flicking from one concert to the next gets to be a bit much...

100% fabulous!!
I loved this DVD to tears! (straight guys CAN cry...)All the great songs are here, and delivered with power and feeling, and yes, i always well up during 'travellin' soldier'.The fact it's a montage of all the tour dates adds to the atmosphere, for me, as you see how they love their fans all over the world with passion that shines through in their performances. I wish I'd been there! The ladies who did wardrobe and hair for the girls deserve awards themselves, they look great! Another plus from seeing the whole tour in one concert.I also have "an evening with..." dvd and it's a delight too, but in a more intimate and personal setting, so i'd recommend that to all fans too.Buy it, watch it, love it!

Als einzistes extra ist das "Top of the world" Video drauf.

New Country mit eigenem Style
