Fisher & Paykel524185P Rotor Assembly

The top drawer of our ~15 year-old F&P DD603 was loud for quite a while, but on a recent day, it started making a very loud whining noise. My wife called me in, and just as I arrived, the dreaded F2 error flashed on the screen. In an other era without a pandemic or digital self-diagnostics, a call to the repairman would have been made, no doubt costing more than this part did alone. Instead, I did some Googling, and within 30 minutes had ordered this part, convinced that it was the problem. Had I been a bit more conservative, I would have swapped the part from the other drawer first to confirm it was the culprit. Fortunately, when the part arrived the next day, it was in fact the problem. Not only did it fix the problem, the drawer runs so much more quietly that I ordered a second part for the other drawer, hoping it also improves the performance. BTW, others have noted that this does not seem to be an actual F&P part, but I was convinced it was the original provided by F&P, based on the packing and included instructions.Update 12/2024: Top drawer still quiet and working great after 3.5yrs. The part I had ordered for the bottom drawer did not quiet it down two years ago, so I kept the original part. However, the bottom was getting worse and worse, and it was clear the rotor assembly was no longer fully functional. I ordered another assembly, put it in, and now the bottom drawer is quiet and working great, too. I commend F&P for making this part so easy to swap, and for still providing them so many years after the original mfg date. When this dishwasher ultimately fails, we will be buying another Fisher & Paykel dual drawer.

Liked the product of motor assembly on the dishwasher, but, believe the impeller could be constructed of a much stronger material to reduce the amount of F2 error code and related costs and loss of use.

I loved the price was much cheaper than Fisher-Paykel dealership. Works great. Fisher-Paykel deshwadhers are the best. I have had mine for 22 years. First time I have had any repairs. My grandson replace my new motor and it started working immediately. It has 2 dish drawers so I had one that still worked while getting the repair part. It came in 2 days. Virginia adams

The top drawer (the one that gets the most use) started making a terrible noise. I googled it and the top suspect was the pump. I switched the top and bottom pumps and confirmed that was the issue. This replacement slid right into place and is working perfectly.
