Good, but not perfect
Overall, it does what it's supposed to do. For the time I had my TV in the master slot (now it's my audio receiver), there was no premature shutoff as some have found (I have a 2015 Insignia TV), and all of the outlets work as they are supposed to. That being said, if I need another APS, I will probably look elsewhere.First, the outlets are all quite close together except for the two on the end. Note that if you need to plug a transformer or wide plug into the master slot as I do, you automatically block one controlled outlet AND one always-on outlet. Then, because the top of the strip slopes up to the end with the lights and the cord, that gets in the way of plugging in a sideways transformer, which I had been counting on in my planning. Second, the strip makes a very noticeable popping sound when the controlled outlets are turned on or off, which is a bit unsettling. Finally, I wish there was a master on/off switch for the whole strip instead of having to unplug it from the wall. The cord is also not long enough for my setup, but I realize that it's not an issue for most people since they will put their whole AV setup right in front of a grounded outlet.Overall, it is a good deal, but make sure you don't have too many things to plug in, or that you have carefully planned out your plug setup.EDIT: Realized that the popping sound is one of the devices turning off, not the strip itself. The strip makes a tiny sound, but it's barely noticeable. Changing from 3 stars to 4, but I still won't buy again unless I have a setup with no transformers or wide plugs.

Good but saprising
Good easy-to-use but dosen't have a power button. If used constantly for computers or other constant use area would be a good choice. Other wise serch for one with on off switch to save on energy

power strip works the way it's described
I don't like writing reviews because it's not fair to write a review without testing things out for a while before saying something good or bad.I bought two and have used them for about five months now.So far they work as expected and have seen my bill drop a bit, not enough to pay the mortgage but a few dollars a month is still worth it. So far they have already paid for themselves.I set both up in the living room, my tv is the master and the bluray, home theater, subwoofer are all slaves (the strip is set to the lowest setting). my roku and the router are on the always on.the other one is connected to the living room pc as master and the scanner, printer as slaves. and the modem, and obi202 as always on.At night the standby led's are now off making the living room darker and the light pollution doesn't go upstairs anymore. the only ones that are lit up are the modem and router and I haven't found a way to cover them up without completely blocking me from easily seeing the light codes they give off. This also has definitely helped turn things off when left on, for example the home theater and printers are constantly forgotten and now pressing the power button on the tv or shut down command on the pc and we know that everything goes down, not everything will power itself back up though. it depends on the design. the Home Theater and printer will stay off but the powered subwoofer and bluray will turn themselves back on once they have power flowing through the strip.right now I am considering buying at least one more for the garage where I have an old pc I use as a radio (mp3, CD, online radio streamer) connected to an old amplifier, tape, CD, LP, cassette players. where everything is leeching power even if off all day and night, even though the amp has switched power plugs in the back.So far though I like this powerstrip, with only two issues. 1. not enough always on plugs, 2. the plugs are way too close together, some things have brick power adapters and they can take up to two plugs. I can't say that buying a more expensive one will address these issues as it seems that every strip is basically designed the same.anyway to summarize I like it and will definitely buy 1 more maybe 2 more I just need to decide whether i'm going to use some stuff in my bedroom or not,

Easy fix for older humming subwoofer; and saves on my electric bill as well!
My aging powered subwoofer hums while on standby. I simply switched it to "on" instead of "auto" so it would be powered whenever electricity is present. Then I connected it to one of the "switched" outlets. I then connected my home theater receiver to the "control" outlet. Now whenever anyone in my family turns on the receiver the subwoofer comes on, and turns off a few seconds after the receiver gets turned off. It works perfectly. I used the "low" switch setting as it seems to act the fastest. This $30 power strip saved my $300 subwoofer, and it's a relief to know there isn't constant "standby" power flowing through my subwoofer. I put tape over the other "switched" outlets so nobody in my family accidentally tries to use one of them and is confused when there is no power without the receiver being on.

Ingenious energy saving power strip! With a drawback...
This power strip is a great way to automate the power of multiple devices, so many uses for this. I am using this in my home studio as a very seamless power solution for multiple powered speakers/subwoofers. I wish I found this power strip earlier, so many applications for this.PRO:-A functional power-triggered power strip!-Moderately high build quality. This does not feel cheap, as the images make it seem.-Power threshold setting for the trigger input-Male end of the power strip is angled for an easier fitting in tight spotsCONS-Power trigger is not sensitive enough, even on the lowest threshold setting. I wanted to use this with my speaker amp, but it apparently didn't draw enough power to trigger the strip. My monitor was used instead-Could use a few more ports (both controlled and always on)-Would be nice if the trigger had a 5-10 second wait before it kicked off. My monitor causes a trigger when I change input sources (since the screen goes off for a few seconds).

Works just like it should
Good build quality. I would prefer made in USA for this price. But I cannot deny that's it is a quality piece.

Works as expected
Have a Yamaha receiver plugged into the control socket. Works like a charm - when in standby (i.e., can still access the control webpage), everything else (roku, power amplifier) is off. Turn on the receiver, and the roku/etc. boot up, as one would expect. Other than this, it's a power bar and all sockets work.. so.. 5/5.
