Powerful!!!
I have not written any reviews before. But this album is just so amazing!Very solid effort, heavy riffs, melodic material.I wish they toured United States.I'd sertainly go see them!Add-on May3, 2013:Saw them last month at the Double Door in Chicago. What an amazing show! If you think the album is good, you have to see them live!Absolutely blew everybody away! Some compare them to "Runaways" and "Schoolgirls", I think they are five notches better.I think they are better than most platinum album selling "guy" bands! An incredible experience. When they come back, go see them, you won't regret it!

Give these Girls some attention.
Mine will be the third review thus far and the album has been out for a year already.Crucified Barbara is a vere overlooked band. They can only manage to get a couple other reviews in a year and their sales rank is way down there. I just don't get it. Do people prefer bad music?I'm a fan because they provide a sound that reminds one of metal from its heyday back in the 1980s, even though all of them were born in the 1980s. If you like metal that sounds like metal should, you should give them a try.

Solid sophomore sonics from Stockholm
Coming out of the blocks in 2009 this is the second album from Swedish band Crucified Barbara. Main hindrance to this band must be the name because there isn't much wrong with the recorded output, this album taking off from where the debut finished in delivering very solid party hard rock with some great chorus' and interesting lyrical twists. The way the lyrical themes are put together and the fact that even at this stage we're just not used to hearing the female point of view of relationships put into an alcohol drenched hard rock format probably works in the bands favour. The music here sounds fuller than on the debut, just more of an aural assault and this more muscular approach is aided by the production which is handled by Mats Leven who also makes a tasteful appearance in the song Jennifer, an oddly timed song that has some indefinable hook that keeps you listening without ever being able to pinpoint what is keeping your attention so fixed.Other favourite tunes of mine you may want to sample in order to further inform your decision of whether to part with your hard earned would be lead single Sex Action (not an LA Guns cover), Dark Side and Can't Handle Love. Having said that, this is a very consistent album all the way through so you might as well hit the sample all button if you can and have a tiny taste test of the whole shebang. In the sphere of female fronted bands this is for fans of their first album and fans of Finnish band Vanity Ink while fans of pretty much any of the more heads down rawk bands that stormed out of Scandinavia during the 00's could do a lot worse than to score themselves a copy of this well written and produced blast of party rock/metal.

Great Hard Rock/Metal
To keep it short and simple, these girls rock!!! No cutesy stuff here. Just great hard rockin music. This is by far the best all female band I have ever heard. Does anyone else know of any other female fronted bands or all female bands that sound like this? I love both of there cds. This cd rocks a little harder than the first....Still love em both.

Awesome!
I stumbled upon Crucified Barbara by accident, but sometimes that's the best way to find a gem! This is more polished than their first album and is just a fantastic piece of heavy music. If you like Halestorm, Flyleaf and Stealing Betty, check these gals out - they absolutely smoke!

Fun, fun, fun
Okay, let's be clear. This is very melodic hard rock. Heavy riffs throughout but interspersed with catchy choruses and humor. These are really the same elements that made early Girlschool records so much fun Hit And Run - Revisited. There's an 80s feel I associate more with NWOBH than Sunset Strip. Mia's voice is exceptionally strong and carries even the comparatively weaker tunes. Although I appreciate technical and/or experimental metal, music like this is just plain fun and doesn't need to make apologies. I do hope the band stays true to the heavier elements of their sound and resists any suggestion to drift further in commercial directions.
