Brought an old 80Gb iPod back to life.
Got this remote so I could use the iPod outside by the pool where I have a set of old Sony speakers powered by a cheap 12v amp that has a 3.5mm input for MP3 players. I haven't had any problems with distance yet but mostly I stay within 10 to 15 feet. So this remote salvaged a pretty much unused iPod and Sony speakers I might have tossed in the trash. The 12v amp was purchased on amazon for $12 and is powered by a 3amp power supply I had from amateur radio days. That power supply can be purchased for $15 or so. Thus those of you with old but decent speakers and an old iPod can create a nice outdoor music system for under $50. It won't rock the neighborhood but it's loud enough to enjoy.

Works Great
It does what it says it does. So the description is correct. The only thing that bugged me was that it came with a dead battery out of the box. If I hadn't been so nerdy to try and see if the remote IR light was lighting up by looking at it through my smart phone's camera, I might have assumed it was DOA, instead of just needing a battery.If it had shipped and worked out of the box, I would have given it 5 stars

Just what I needed
I teach Dance and ZUMBA classes and this product is just what I needed. I use it with my IPAD and when I need a water break or when the kids change positions in class I can stop/start the music where I am as opposed to running back to my IPAD to stop it. It is a cool little gadget for me!

Does exactly what I need it to...
The connected that inserts into the IPad is very fragile. Broke about the first week, but was easy to put back together.

the product works great if you have it right in front of you. I put in a atv plastic box and it will not pick up the sensor on the iPod.

Hit and Miss
Sometimes it will work on my ipod and sometimes it won't. Sometimes I have to walk right up next to my ipod to get it to work. If you look at it, it looks poorly constructed. Will not buy this product again.

Works exactly as promised
Bought for biking around because I was tired of painstakingly pulling out my iPhone every time I didn't like the song that came up. Works without even a second thought. Plug, play, forget. Definitely worth the purchase.

It was perfect for my purposes. Small, simple to use, easy to store when I don't need it, works from across the room.
