Give this harness a shot! I bought the small for my 13lb papillon mix and it adjusted perfectly (although I did have to tighten the neck part as far as it would go.) I previously tried a step in harness, but he resisted putting his legs in. Then I tried one similar to this that went over the head and buckled on the sides, but he hated it and managed to get a front paw stuck in the neck opening, which was a pain to get out. What I love about this mighty paw harness is the three buckles. My dog easily lets me put this on him by clipping it around his neck first, plus if he ever slid his paw through (he hasn’t done so with this one) I can easily release the buckle. He seems super comfortable in it whether on walks, in the car, or lying around, and he has never wriggled out of it. The reflective threading is great for going out at night. My only critique is the front leash clip. When I tried it using it, it pulled the harness to the side to the point where he slipped his paw into the opening with his other paw. (He didn’t get loose, but we had to go inside so I could readjust it.) I likely had the harness slightly too loose, but still I haven’t used the front clip again. That said, the clip on the back is all I need for him, as he’s not a puller. Overall, highly recommend this item!

I found a mighty paw harness size small for my puppy at a thrift store and really liked the quality and features so when he outgrew it I purchased the size medium here. It’s got a little beefier build. He needs to grow into the neck part a little before I can use the front leash attachment but that worked great on the smaller one to keep him from pulling when we walked. If I want him to run ahead I hook onto the back leash attachment and the padded front seems to work great, he can run comfortably with leash tension on the back. My other favorite feature is the handle on the top that I can lift him with. Really nice product overall

2021 Update:We've been using this for our lab/border collie mix for over a year now, despite the fit seeming a tiny bit weird. Absolutely NO fraying, tearing, or signs of wear! The harness still looks brand new. The 4 adjustable straps also allowed us to use the harness for a family member's GSD. The two larger buckles may be difficult to open for someone with limited hand strength, but at least I never have to worry that they'll break if my dog pulls to hard.Original Review:This harness is SO well made! The materials seem to be high quality, the buckles and rings feel nice and sturdy, and the straps are super adjustable. We bought the green to make our black dog more visible because she completely disappears in the dark, and this harness did not disappoint! I also love having the option to clip a leash to the front or the back.I was a little disappointed in how it fits our dog. According to the size chart she is a large, but no matter how I adjust the straps, the front is too loose and the back bunches up and seems to squeeze her stomach if she lays down. We cannot use the front clip because the front of the harness just slides all the way over to her shoulder when she pulls. I may order a medium to see if my measurements were off or if this harness just doesn't work well for her body.

I love this brand, I’ve purchased collars from them in the past as well. I needed a harness that would be sturdy enough to hold back my eager 47 lb. bulldog mix. Her neck is so awkward, I didn’t trust leashing her at her collar as she can slip out of it. The clip for the leash is a bit awkward as it’s placed towards the backside of your dog instead of towards the neck, but that’s literally my only complaint. The harness is easy to snap around her body and works great. I love the bright/reflective material for walks during the evening or early mornings! Definitely recommend.

I really like this harness. I have 3 large dogs, who all tend to pull when they're walked. I had purchased a different brand of harness for the other 2 dogs, but as my eldest dog still had an older style harness, I hadn't gotten around to buying her anything new yet.I got the opportunity to test this one in exchange for a review and I really love it. If I'd had the chance to test it before buying the other harnesses, I would have bought this one instead. They're prettier, because there are lots of color options, but quality of materials and workmanship is what will ultimately matter when it comes to the functionality and safety of your dog.Bella is a senior, but still very strong, 85lb Husky-Rottweiler mix, with a barrel shaped body, who can drag you down the street if she's of the mind. I had to get the extra large size to accommodate her chest, which did make it slightly loose in the neck. The clips are large and a little hard to open, which isn't a bad thing with a very strong dog. The adjustment hardware and loops that hold the leash are metal. The harness is well padded and did not run my dog anywhere. I really liked using in the car with the Mighty Paw Seatbelt that clips your pet safely into a seat. It kept Bella from wandering all over the car. And I felt better knowing that if we were in an accident, she was also safely fastened in.I didn't know this originally, but I was also happy to find out that I was supporting a company that is local to me. I can't wait to see what else they come out with. So far so good. Big thumbs up.

Edited: Added a Star for customer service - this company stands behind their product.Bought this harness as reviews seemed positive. I did note a single post stating it didn't fit theirLabrador Retriever as neck vs chest proportions were not inline. Unfortunately, I ignored it as I suspected it was a user adjustment issue as surely it would be made to fit the #1 breed in NA.Well, I was wrong. Neck had to be set at the tightest setting while the chest near the max. Almost immediately the webbing loosened and even taping it didn't help. The harness was ineffective when using the front clip as the entire harness would slip to one side. Even a dog trainer couldn't get it to fit.

Well-made, sturdy and great for walking when it is dark.
